Riot, it's time to stop supporting 32 bit systems!

It took Riot untill APRIL 2019 to stop supporting Windows XP and Vista (Who the hell even uses that tractor of an OS?), and in a very recent Nexus post it was confirmed that League could not be too graphically intense, because it is still made to be supported by 32 bit machines.

But that's also one of the reasons why the game's client is in such a horrible state, and why Riot refuses to re-build and re-code it from the ground up. Because, sadly, League is still being taylored to be internet cafe friendly. In it's core, League is still a small 2009 game, stuck together with toothpicks and duct tape. And it should not be this way! The constant complaints about stablility speak for themselves. Stopping support for outdated OSes was the first step towards modernization. Now is the time for the second!

"But...but... How will i play LoL Of Legends from my 32 bit laptoop?" Upgrade your hardware? I don't want to see League staying outdated when it comes to coding and build. Rarely anybody uses 32 bit anymore. and the percent is only going to go down. Just like with Windows XP and Vista users.

For a compay that is supposed to be one of the "market leaders", Riot is definitely staying behind.

This post is a literal insult to the people who cannot afford a new/better PC for any reason

you DO realize, if they developed it for 64bit machines rather then 32 bit, nothing would change right?

the client currently runs on 32bit machines the exact same as a 64 bit, because its using 32 bit. a 64 bit machine will run a 32 bit program the exact same. bugs wouldnt dissapear, nothing would change.

plus, THE GAME cant be too graphically intense. this has nothing to do with the client, which uses only around 500 mb, without low spec mode.

not only this but the key difference between 32 and 64 bit processing is simply how much ram/data storage an OS on each can handle. league in itself only requires about 2 to run. a 32 bit machine handles up to 4.

there would quite literally be no reason to not have it be playable on a 32 bit machine. using a 32 bit program on a 64 bit machine runs it at a 32 bit level but if it needs more ram, it can readily request it. being that the client at its peak will use about 600, whether it runs on a 32 or 64 bit machine would be functionally the same.

"why are people going hungry? just stop being poor lol"
