Unpopular Opinion: 6 Bans is Plenty

Personally I can only think of 4 champs that I would like to see banned every game.

Ryze (who will be removed from this list once the perma-snare issue has been resolved), Katarina, Sejuani , and Gragas.

After 5.11 changes, I don't think that Leblanc and Ekko are permaban worthy.

It is much easier to dodge LB's W, and her chain matches the hitbox much better than it did before. Ekko's clone being more visible for the enemy team makes it easier to see where Ekko could ult to, which seemed to be a big issue. W is no longer a very effective scouting tool, so picks with no friendly vision are much more infrequent compared to 5.10 Ekko.

To those of you who want more bans:

Which six champions do you currently ban? Who would you ban with 10 and why does having four extra bans make a notable difference?

The thing with bans is that, Riot wants the top champs to not be perma banned. That is to say, if you ban the OP Junglers, you leave the OP toplaner/midlaners/whatever up. With 10 bans, You can easily ban the 2 most OP champs in Every Role. Alternatively All 10 bans can go against the support role. And that can become problematic.

But on the Opposite token. fewer Bans at say, the LCS level makes a little more sense cause the teams know each other and can make very specific bans against star opponents. I agree that 6 is plenty, they just have less value in YoloQ.

League is fine-tuned for premade 5 v 5 teams, meaning the bans are meant to cater to teams who want to ban specific champions who might be counters to their chosen team composition or in LCS' case where they're used to take away champions from someone.

They need to go from 6 to 8 before moving to 10, shld slowling move up. 8 is a must at this point.
