Should Sion be classed as a Juggernaut?

I mean, it's literally in his title too and he outputs amazing damage for a tank, especially if he builds item 3748.

juggernauts have low CC but high damage. Does sion have low CC?

Obviously there can be exceptions. Look at Skarner, he's got great damage and great CC. So who's to say Sion can't be the same?

Who's skarner? Is he on the PBE? but really. He doesn't fit into any category really. He's just, skarner.

Riot classifies him as a juggernaut.

They actually said he doesn't fit and would put him as a vanguard.

Rather than characterizing a tank as Low damage. (Cause anyone who lanes or Jungles needs a good base line anyway) think DPS vs. Burst.

Juggernauts have good DPS, (not as much as the adc) while tanks are going to have good burst. (usually paired with their CC, but not as much burst as a mage.)

Sion is a tank with damage, that's what his character is in-game. He isn't a juggernaut, because he lacks high sustained damage or an execute.

Perhaps, lore-wise sion was a juggernaut before he died, but he isn't now.

He has too much CC.

Yes Sion's damage is high for a tank, but that's because all of his abilities are unreliable.

sion isn't really a tank if he is a tank he's a very shitty tank

juggernaut is a great term for him, he is a slow tanky fighter with an ult that moves him some despite its delayed start.

He has too much CC to be a juggernaut.

Sion's a CC train with damage that falls of quickly; that's not a juggernaut, it's a tank.

He scaled back up really hard post 50 minutes when you get 1000+ bonus hp from w. Their adc will need to buy Bork and ldr to kill him at that point. Sion is at his weakest at 40-45 minutes, when he doesn't quite have enough health to be an ULTRA tank, but doesn't have the damage anymore to murder people outright (even with titanic).

sion has HIGH cc and HIGH dmg but no mobility ...however he only has damage if you build dmg

Asudurga1 votes

He only needs a Titanic, his scaling health W passive does the rest alongside building full tank.

Ralanr2 votes

He doesn't really AA enough to be much of a threat to fighters and other tanks.

He has damage without building it. If you can get a full q off it can do upwards of 500 damage in one go with a 2.5 second stun ontop of that. His w is also %health damage which people tend to forget (even I do because I never get to use the pop in lane, the shield is so shitty early on.)

Titanic makes his damage output much higher, but isn't needed to do upwards of 30k-40k damage in a game.

WOULD IT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE? IF HE IS TANK/FIGHTER/JUGGERNAUT? OR IS IT STILL SION WITH THE SAME ABILITIES AND STATS?

I feel like Sion and Gnar, when you build some damage then tank, they deal quite a good amount of damage. however, they definitely don't compare to say:

Nasus Darius Illaoi Garen Volibear

Here's a great example from last night's ranked game.

I was Sion, versus Illaoi (they took my main champ so i punished em) http://i1320.photobucket.com/albums/u525/technolians/sion1_zpsm1pjzucs.png

As sion, building more damage than tank. i only did 32k damage, with a 8/6/13 KDA. Illaoi, who only built Trinity and Steraks, did 41k damage even though she was 5/13/5.

Gnar is an oddity though, because of his range AAs and his W Max-%HP damage that has no CD when proc.
