PSA: Do not intervene in sacred Supportal Combat

Had a game where me (Tahm Kench) and the enemy Supp (Braum) were so rudely interrupted everytime we tried to have a 1v1. We were both bored in the lane phase and were just spamming emotes at each other when we decided to 1v1 till things got more interesting. Every time we would start we would bring each other to around half, when members of my team and his team would barge in to try to kill the other. the First time his ADC and my mid intervened. Second time his ADC and top and my Mid and Jung. Third time our teams wouldn't let us get close to each other. So if you see 2 supports that have agreed to a 1v1 showdown, do not intervene. Supportal Combat is a very sacred tradition

Despite that I rarely if ever play support, I understand having such a sacred tradition interrupted. I mained Vi jungle during season 4 & enjoyed the times I got to 1v1 an enemy Vi. During one of our duels, the enemy Pantheon was kind enough to simply watch until my mid interrupted. Granted Panth was planning to murder me if I won, but he was at least kind enough to wait til then.

The military.

Tank fights are more difficult not to intervene in due to the sheer amount of time it takes. Longer ones keep Tanks away from playing for up to 15 minutes

I may be an asshole. However that's no reason to treat normals like they don't matter and to let your support get mahurdered by the enemy support because someone wanted a 1v1 to show "how leet their skills are"

I've imagined that... but then I get sick and tired of seeing people play trolly ways or complain about their team "because I'm trying to 1v1 my opponent and they aren't letting me." and when it finally happens they just get murdered by the other team even if they win the 1v1. So it's pointless. Not to forget that it's a team game and the idea of 1v1 shouldn't be in your mind. Catching and murdering someone 1v1 is fine but that's more of an assassination than these "1v1 fights of honor" so many players seem to want to do.

I don't mind people trying new champions or old champions in new ways. It's fine. The problem is when they go. "it's normals so it doesn't matter" IT's like throwing in the towel before the game even starts because your not really trying.

That's why you're standing by to help them the second they win the 1v1! Or to murder the enemy after (s)he wins. One the 1v1 is over, the sacred rite of supportal combat has ended and you can slaughter the other guy.

First, please don't put words in my mouth. I never said, "It's normals so it toesn't matter."

I play League to have fun. Winning is fun. Beating people who are trying their hardest, is fun (it's why I play ranked). Trying out screwey strats is also fun. Playing screwey strats that win is fun for both reasons, and is my favorite thing to do.* Supportal combat is fun, and you can have it without giving up on winning, too.

The 1v1 wasn't to show skills between the two of us. It was just something for us to do so we don't fall asleep in the Lane Phase. Seriously, we were god dam bored

If your falling asleep in the laning phase. your not playing support right. Supports roam. and make plays and do the initial fighting. ADC are boring in the laning phase. All they do is passively farm and follows up on a supports awesome sauce.

As their first blow collides, tongue and shield, an explosion erupts, leaving a boom across the rift. Braum's ADC sprints through bot lane, believing that his support is in peril. At the same time, the mid laner on Tahm's team believes there's kills to be had. They both happen upon the scene at the same time. in normals, why not, but in a ranked, it would be pretty stupid to not turn it into a 2v1 if possible... I mean, the whole point of the game is trying to get an advantage over your oppionents, often enough by outnumbering them. I would also enjoy if the holy ritual of a wet noodle-fight at top wasn't disturbed by a pesky jungler, but thats not how the game goes...

If it's Ranked, you're right. If it's just normals then let the supports have their support fight. It's like a tank fight in that you get to have a 4v4 or watch the battle of the century where no one has any killing ability.
