Why is the "Assassin update" make it or brake it for LOL

With the upcoming "Assassin update" we can all agree that the League will never be the same.The assassins were major part of the game from its beginings but balancing them was always a bit tricky(the feast or famine syndrom). On one side these champs are most exiciting to play with but can be frustrating to play against.But arent they supposed to be like that?They are assassins after all, and their job is to assassinate a high priority target in quick session.And that is what makes them fun and exiciting. So if Riot gives them so called "utility" and change their play pattern they will no longer be assassins at all.

A lot of players will quit if Rito destroys assasins in this update...

All I hope is that Shaco is in their list to look at and that they don't fuck him up.

Along the years, many players quit because of assassins, so it might well be worth it.

There's a difference between feeling frustrating to play against and feeling powerless to play against.

Most Assassins mash QWER (+ Items and Summoner Spells as needed) in a certain order to instantly delete a target. Many of them are able to quickly destroy targets before they hit level 6 or as soon as they hit 6. The instant deletion of champions without a chance for them to react is what's being removed.

If you're actually interested in playing a high risk, high reward class, then this should be a welcome change, letting you prove that you're actually good at the playstyle not simply mashing buttons in a given order.

I mean I mainly play assassins, My favorite is kha'zix. If they were to change him in a drastic fashion I don't plan on playing league after that.

Why not? As a great assassin fan I cant wait to see the changes tho. I know it is amazingly fun to play Fizz or Zed and 1 shoot someone in a single rotation but lol....As a mage or adc I dont want to run away from you since the begining of a teamfight , I want to shoot at least once.

No and yes. They are NOT supposed to be frustrating to play against. But they ARE supposed to be exciting and cool. Riot wants them to be more fun to fight.

Assassins as a play-style just aren't healthy. It literally involves killing targets before they even have the chance to react, and it doesn't even have a backup. If you die to an assassin currently, you look at the death recap and think "What could I have done differently?" The sad answer is, with most assassins, you couldn't have done anything differently to survive.

Zed, Ekko and Katarina are the healthiest assassins to play against, in my opinion, because they have clear weaknesses and ways to play around them. For them, if they kill you, you may indeed have been able to play it differently.

Assassins have no depth in their current state. Right now it's just "I have more damage and mobility than you so I win". And a lot of us are manaless too. And most of us have stealth (in addition to our mobility and gap closers) for even more safety.
