Are there a lot of new players this pre-season or something?

It feels like almost every game I have had this pre-season has had people making extremely rookie level mistakes. like people doing stuff that even with the new runes should be obvious not to do. mistakes that by all accounts if you have been playing for all of season 7 and if you have been playing since before that than I am confused? I am only a lowly silver so I know it's not gonna be top level plays but I mean I am seeing bronze hell level plays here that I expect from newer players. I am constantly in my matches having to teach people how to do specific things or how to build their characters. Like they recently hit level 30 and hopped into ranked not knowing the basics of their champs.

Its ignorance. People don't think that preseason matters without actually realizing that all that really matters in ranked is MMR, so they don't care. They'll troll, feed, play new champions to them, and wonder why they get placed lower.

Yeah there was a Poppy that ran around the whole game not buying boots although at one point I asked her to get Ninja Tabi and she told me she didn't know about Janna's passive and my LoL friend on Discord said she was dubious as to whether the Poppy was being legit.
