Sure, he is perfectly right. But what would you do?

You play a very very teamplay-oriented game with a bunch of random dudes and not a team what you know (you don't even have an option like in old games to join a server what suits your mood and skills and play with those 10-20 guys all night - just like his basketball example). And even your MMR, what supposed to place you with guys of similar dedication and skills (and not in months of constant grinding but asap...) is purely based on your W/L ratio, so it depends on your team by a huge degree. And you don't just waste time but different important numbers too.

But it seems like that all of these are pretty much intended built-in features. This unavoidable frustration makes you grind long long hours and buy new champs with skins and such, so spend on the game. The psychology works, LoL has an impressive playerbase.

I don't think Riot will ever really do anything against it, but I'm interested in your ideas.
