Why Can't We Just Choose 1 Role And Get It Guaranteed In Dynamic Queue?

It's obnoxious, sometimes i want to play Top, sometimes i want to play Mid, maybe Support (But this can slide because putting Support primary/secondary guarantees you getting Support), why can't we just get what we want and not leave it to chance? What is so good about being forced to choose 2 roles? How about we just get to pick as many as we want for us to possibly get, and if we pick just 1, let us.

https://www.random.org/lists/ try out Dynamic Queue for yourself, put 2 roles in the box and randomize it. Why leave it to chance when we can get what we want?

Do you honestly want a 30 minute + queue time?

Team Builder wasn't like that and could let you pick what you want, so why would Dynamic Queue be that long trying to achieve what Team Builder accomplished?

30 minute queue time is shorter than playing 3 games as a top when i want to play jungle. It sucks when you have time for 1-3 games and you can't play what you want. I think you should be able to choose Jungle for your first role and then choose to put None for your secondary role in exchange for longer queue time. The only argument against this is that there aren't enough supports to tops or mids to supports, but I HATE when I get some downer in my bottom lane when I'm playing adc constantly complaining about how he wanted top and nobody would trade him; then he goes and picks wukong and gets a doran's blade first item and just complains when he dives without you.

To ease queue times. It's quicker if the game can say "There's no games in queue that need a mid but his secondary role is top and there is a match that needs a top." rather than searching for the guy specifically choosing top.

Team Builder's queue times weren't long, it let you get what you wanted, if Dynamic Queue let you choose 1 role, would it really be that much longer? League of Legends has a huge player base, how do we know that there aren't ANY games that need the role you want.

They were longer than regular times. Also, dynamic queue already has a long time to start. Queue times are regularly hitting 5-10 minutes now when before dynamic queue it was 15 seconds - 2 minutes usually. To restrict dynamic queue even further would increase queue times.

My Team Builder queues (I played a lot of Team Builder) were always 3 minutes or less to find a full team + enemy team.

Because it's SoloQ not Solo-role.

Let's make it Solo-role.

Speaking from the point of a support or a bottom lane yes timers weren't long but if you where looking for a support or marksmen inside a hosted game it was not unheard of for a game to go 20 minutes before a full team was assembled. Team builder was meant to allow players to try meta breaking strategies.

Team Builder Queue times were longer actually, but players were willing to wait if it meant playing the specific champions they wanted. In order to keep queue times down, players have to choose more than one role.

The problem is the roles are not equally popular and you have no way of telling the system how much you prefer your primary role. It's a good system, but it could be much much better. For one thing, all players should have possibility of filling any role. The reason that this is essential to system reform is that any kind of system that allows players to 100% not play roles will create role starvation. Role starvation in turn makes it harder for players to be matched into the roles that they prefer. It is counter-intuitive because you would think that allowing players to only select certain roles and definitely not queue in other roles would increase their chances of getting the roles they want. But the opposite is, in fact, more accurate.

Hmm, i always hosted games and my queue times were always 3 minutes or less, and for faster queue times being able to pick up to 5 roles would be nice, i'm only asking for 1 role because from my point of view it was never hard to find a game and get what i wanted guaranteed so i wonder why not enforce it to everybody (Except maybe Diamond to Challenger games).
