Trundle still a pain

Could we please lower the duration of trundle's Q buff? or increase the cooldown of the Q? it's set at 4 seconds and last for 8 seconds. there is basically no window of weakness to target trundle, unless your champ straight up beats him.

Don't fight him in melee range and on his W. Champ is meant to be a very strong duelist...he has no mobility, no burst, no damage not coming from autoattacks but alot of sustained damage. If you try to 1v1 him you deserve to die.

you say don't fight him in melee range, but what if i am a top lane melee? and what if i HAVE to fight him?! i can't just get away without having to burn a flash because not everyone has an escape, even when playing riven the slow of his q then the movement speed his domain is enough for him to easily catch up to her with riven using two Q's and her E. that is a lot of mobility.

also saying you deserve to die is the same as you should never be able to fight him, ever.

Riven can't beat Trundle in a 1v1...you just gotta deal with it. If he tries to fight you stun him and hop away, he can never catch you through all your dashes and even if he hits a good pillar he doesn't have enough burst to kill you usually. Don't waste your Q's to farm, if he sees you using them he is probably gonna engage on you.

Darius also can't really fight him before he gets Black Cleaver and then it depends on how well you can kite him with the movement speed and healing from your Q. If you ever stand still to auto him you are gonna lose.

Of course you can fight him, he is one of the melee duelists in the game but champs like Cassiopeia, Vayne, Tristana, etc... can all kill him before he gets even close to them and champs like Nasus, Jax, Tryndamere, Yi and I think Warwick too beat him in a straight melee fight.

yes i know riven can't beat him but i was talking about the part where you said he had no mobility, that's not completely true. i also know that other champs can beat him if they kite him but i'm only talking about melee. i don't play those fighter champs you listed because they're those champs.

A weak movement speed boost in a limited area is not mobility imo.

People do realize that if a champion is in a good state they won't be easy to play against right. That's like saying, Guys I still have to try kinda hard to beat this champion. Please fix them. It's just stupid.

If a champ is so easy to deal with that you never struggle at all facing them then something is probably wrong. Why not make a post that says, Hey I'm having trouble against trundle...any thoughts?

Then people can give you opinions and you can try out new strategies, champs, masteries, or summoners in that matchup. Personally I would play some games as Trundle so you can figure it out yourself by experiencing his weeknesses first hand.

yes i could have done that, but my reason for not making it about asking for advice is because i see trundle in many games where the top lane can never beat him. i think that means something when a champ is dominating everyone he has to face. rarely do i see one lose. i don't need him super nerfed or anything like that but i honestly think he needs to be looked at.

i've played him a bit, but it's been a while.

What Big Ticket said. Trundle is there to stat-check and wear you down. Unless he's packing something like a Triforce/Glacial Hammer combo(usually what I do with him). Suddenly, that Fungo bat he's carrying, gets a quick-dry cement core, and he molly-whops you then.

Illaoi, Darius, and Warwick might be the ones who can deal with him.

Idk about Illaoi, but top lane Trundle womps Darius in an all-in if both are six. His ult is too strong.

Well, Illaoi has the multi-source damage, the sustain to stand with Trundle. And if he's wanting to dance with her when she ults, she has a big damage leap on a 2 second CD to spam, to slug back at him with his bite. She's also got that "build your base" style as a melee AD version of Heimerdinger. At worst, I see her drawing even with him, because of the sustain that both have, and the short cooldown auto-attack steroid that they both have. Since he wants to be in her face, he'll be eating a lot of tentacle damage. Both would be swinging haymakers at each other, and I can see a roller coaster of health bar moving on both ends.

Trundle has a disengage to back out if/when things get too hot for him though.

Illaoi also has crazy scaling on level/AD with base and bonus. And tentacles. Lots of tentacles.
