Why did you give Illaoi Ap scaling

If I had to take a guess, maybe they are trying to push her towards gunblade, also, the e is only an early game nerf, mid to late game buff though, and the fact the timer can't be lower anymore will be amazing.

I think the reasons champs have ad/ap scalings when they don’t use them in the first place is because when certain objectives like fire drag and baron give ad and ap, their purpose is to make the winners of the objectives more threatening. If champions only have 1 kind of scaling they don’t benefit as much from the objectives because the enemy team can counteract by getting armor or magic resist.

If champions scale from ap and ad, it makes them bigger threats when they get these objectives and harder to counteract thus making the objectives more important.

For example let’s say Illaoi only scales from ad and gets baron. You can counteract the extra ad she now has by selling damage items to build armor. Once the buff wears off, you could sell that armor to get your damage items back. But if Illaoi scales from both ad and ap, then you can’t just give yourself temporary armor to deal with her.

Will be fun testing like a Mid lane AP build.

So I can go full AD Illaoi with Youmuus, Duskblade, Deaths Dance into a Zhonya and oneshot a full team with E R W zhonya combo. Also, so I can build normally and add a Rylai to have the biggest AoE slow to stop anyone from going out of my ult.

Honnestly, that AP scaling changes everything because Illaoi has massive synergy with a lot of items like Gunblade, Rylai or Zhonya.

Legit, going Perfect Timing with Zhonya AND Guardian Angel on her means you can go straight up full AD/AP no tank stat and you will kill anyone.

I think this change is stupid I don't quite understand why you would change illaoi. First she gets indirect nerfs from other changes then more nerfs from corrupting potion changes. Now Riot wants to make her AP? As an illaoi main and the only champ I enjoy playing in ranked, likely will stop playing if she goes AP!!!
