As a person that fills often I tend to be placed in support role, and I see nothing wrong with it.I enjoy the support however there is definitely something lacking, I'm speaking on the vision aspect, but not just the vision game but what the vision game strips away from support player and the support as a champion, overall strength because (especially in soloQ games) you are expected to be the sole pink ward provider,(it doesnt alway happen like that but lets face it, #WardBot2016) you will never be able to use your 6th slot. ( a sweeper will work in some situations but carrying a couple of pinks is by far a better solution to invisible champions and controlling a territory.) I was brainstorming and possibly making the support items like item 2302 or item 3069 , item 2301 oritem 3092 , item 2303 or item 3401 , automatically assumes you are playing a support and gives you an extra slot by your trinket slot for additional space for pink wards, probably the most obvious option for supports to allow them to actually utilize their 6th slot and not be all around weaker because of it. I believe the worst that could happen would the Jungle would also pick up this item relatively early, but change is not particularly bad, also you could also implement a unique passive to the Support items to prevent someone with a smite item cannot also hold a Support item. If that needed to happen, because in most Pro scene games the Jungle is also in most cases a support role, except for the whole team, that is why there was and still is a time when supports roam alot just like Jungle, but Just a thought. Tell Me what you guys think.

EDIT: btw I didnt make that caption up above for the picture, "think's" is not my doing.. thank you.

You're asking for access to Pinks but ignoring the effect Pinks have on the vision game specifically how they interact with invisibility. The two are entwined at we can't address either without affecting the other.

Riot took Pink Trinkets away for a reason. Pink Wards are currently a 1000 range AoE of True Sight that everyone has access to, has no activation delay, no cast time, no travel time, and a placement range of almost 1K units. Think about that. They're intended to be a tool to control areas thus making life difficult for stealthed enemies, not what amounts to a substitute Oracle's Elixir, which is what it was doing and still does. Riot has to figure out a way to emphasize that wards are not combat consumables. This could be as simple as an activation delay upon placement.

Personally, I want to see ward-constructs occupy the trinket slot, overriding use of the trinket item until it is placed. This reinforces the idea that wards are suppose to be set up ahead of time, requiring planning and strategy, whereas trinkets are your on-the-fly, quick-access vision tools.

Incorrect, pinks will be bought no matter what, 10 pink wards is how many can be purchased by a single team and 5 can be on the map at one time for a single team, it all depends on a team of communicating players or a Pro team to set vision as you are saying, but that is rarely the case because not only will they not be needed and a waste of an item slot (rather than havng your full build, just goes to show, players even sometimes sell their boots,MS! arguably one of the most influential stats to have for more dmg or defense, not a pink ward) and Gold but the risk to set them unknowingly from the enemy team long enough for them to matter isn't worth it.

No, wards are not specifically for non-engagement instances of warding and sweeping, pink wards in particular ARE and are used as combat consumables, it doesn't matter how viable or used a champion is, we are speaking of all variations of play from bronze to pro, champions as Akali Vayne Twitch Rengar Leblanc Teemo Talon Khazix Shaco that all have abilities to activate stealth in the midst of combat, essentially when they want to, make a pink ward a combat item and is used not only for controlling territories but negating the affects of invisibility at will, in lane, in a team fight, and makes them not nearly a threat as without one in your inventory, they not solely for protection against ganks a sweeper can similarly serve this purpose but not nearly as effective, it is too inconsistent and clunky compared to simply placing a ward down and having their HP bar accessible.

You cannot use targeted abilities on a sweeped opponent, so you simply know where the champion is, that is not neutralizing the target, its a slight stalemate. A pink ward has to be destroyed but they will not be attacking a pink ward in the midst of fighting you. So in that fact a item 3649 is more of a pre-placed, planned, strategic vision tool, and a item 2043 can be used in a variety of scenarios.

vayne was a pretty poor example of a champion when speaking on stealth because her stealth is alittle over 1 second as she rolls, a minute arguably even useless design for her, she will still be 3 shotting everyone late game, however someone as Akali would be a more suited example because of her twilight shroud, she sits in stealth for several seconds, the fact of the matter is, because you can throw a pink ward down situationally is what they made a pink ward to be and what they balanced stealth and how effective it is whether or not you have a vision ward, an adventageous combat item and a pre-placed planned strategic territory marker, which automatically neutralizes stealthed champions, but this only rectifies what ive been speaking about, exactly. I am not saying it is a correct way of balancing but if you have access to pinks that you are going to waste in lane for one 2v2 (bot lane for example) then make them accessible in a sense that when I buy a pink I dont need to use it for lane or atleast when I buy a pink I am not completely sure what I want to use it on at the moment, because currently when i buy a pink early game (<6:00,)its situtionally for a lane opponent whether I'm support against twitch vayne, or mid against talon akali leblanc, but I am using that pink for something more worth it, because early kills especially in the bot lane will always be worth it more then a pink in river bush.

So they either change pink wards and their availability/usability or the stealth mechanic as a whole, in either scenarios pinks will still be needed, but in the latter will be needed less in a combat scenario sense and possibly not even an option for certain champions but still for others, as how do you draw the line of stealth rengar R ? and pure invisibility only Eve, even what that can be argued because she does have a form of non-invisibility meaning her invisible form is considered stealth. Also up until now the words stealth and invisible have been used interchangeably,I dont think you balance pink wards or a concept based on stealth being: you just seen him go into stealth so you know that champion is stealthed and on alert because of it and the concept of invisibility being: you didnt know the champion was invisible and never seen him 'stealth' so infact, he was invisible until he came out and killed you.

Or they could simply add a pink ward slot, period. No need to link it to support items.

I'm trying to bargain here, that would be easy and all but I am assuming if thats what they were going to do they would have just done that from the beginning, tying pink wards to an item would be helpful all game, simply like a Sightstone when you go back to fountain it refills, or giving a slot for the purchase of the an item solely for pinks wards, doesn't particularly have to be a slot at all, just an item that gives you pink wards, a pink ward slot wouldnt benefit most soloQ games especially low elo and neither would it be beneficial enough for Every Player on a professional team to purchase an item that gives the benefit of a pink ward slot or many pink wards, you wont't find an ADC buying a ward item instead of damage item, it also gives a support even more of a niche they can call their own aside from passive aggressively being called wardbots, they can proudly say they ARE wardbots, plus a pink ward slot only won't happen, Riot specifically wanted to make game time shorter.. with more pink wards on the map there will be more rotations of sweeping and placing and sweeping and placing which could also open up more opportunities for skirmishes but the vision game would become to overly cumbersome and too based around just that and more of a clusterf*ck than actual strategy, people don't want to watch team place wards for an hour, they come for the blood.

Why do you think support need any form of buff?

The only thing support role needs is a way to be commended for good plays. Like a voice screaming "Penta-Assist!" or "Savior!" or whatever.

The 6 slots no pink ward problem is something that should be fixed for everyone, not just support.

its not a buff that would place this class over any others, its placing them on the same pedestal as other champions, allowing a 6th slot to be used, and no that isn't a problem for most other roles because that isn't there role to begin with, everybody should get pinks but in higher end (pro) and lower end (bronze, silver, gold) levels of play only very rarely do all five players get pinks in pro play, and thats maybe once or twice a game for specific objectives, because 75g adds up and can be used for dmg, cs is funneled onto mid and ADC for this very reason, its sometimes 3 (top, jungle, support) that ward and most of the time 2 (Jungle support) that ward, never consistently the whole team.

What? In pro plays, every role use pinks all the time. It's the difference between getting a kill or a death.

I'd prefer just having a pink slot that doesn't occupy one of the 6 item slots for everyone. If you're playing an AD bruiser-y champion your inventory can quickly get filled up with semi-finished items, doran's, and longswords and you can either decide to sacrifice some power before you complete your items or not get a pinkward.
