...THANK YOU! She's so fun and strong! You did really great job! I enjoy every aspect of her, she's perfect!

(Now I only need a planty skin.)

Edit: STRONG - this deserves to be written in Caps Lock, she doesn't need buffs, honestly

Do you even play the same game?

Taliyah is an absolute trash, laughed at by EVERY mid laner.

Tell me how you'll do pulling her into your ranked games.

She hasn't been out long enough for that to be impressive, TBH.

Was he bronze before she was released? Doubt it in that time frame. If he was on the cusp of being diamond and he used her to push himself over...big deal?

And even besides, that'd be an anecdotal case at best. Overall she is still pretty weak. I'd agree with OP that she's quite fun. But strong? Nope.

An Undead brat1 votes

Uh... I must say her E-W combo is not that easy to hit, but not that hard, too, so it's pretty healthy, but you can with a single trade get your oponent to 1/5 HPs... It's actually too damn strong, you just have to learn to play her. (Plus ulti gank bot OP)

Serpents Embrace2 votes

Being "healthy" has nothing to do with how difficult skills are to hit. =\

And you're only going to get someone down to a fifth of their health with two skills if you're already fed and ahead in items. So...what?

???

An Undead brat1 votes

Actually not, you get them there with a Doran... Just try it.

I know Challanger Teemos. You don't see the rest of 99.98% players running challanger Teemo.

I just really wish the Worked Earth mechanic didn't exist. I feel like she wouldn't even be broken without it... feels like I'm punishing myself everytime I use Q.

Because that would be toxic and unhealthy amounts of poke, with 45% CDR after your 5 rocks are thrown the Q is already up again

Its a game health lever without it she wouldn't be broken/OP she'd just become frustrating as hell

An Undead brat1 votes

Yeah, plus the spell itself (if everything hit) has 1.2 AP scaling, combine it with E-W combo's scaling and HOLY SHIT

I Be Rad1 votes

But I feel that's still a healthy trade off for a non damage ult, a conditional damage and skillshot E, and a low damage, tricky skillshot like W. That's definitely a healthy tradeoff.

Her Q is her longest range tool and it would be without worked ground unhealthy Her E and W are meant to be combo'ed for damage,Her W is like Ziggs W its meant to be for more for utility not damage,The worked ground mechanic is there let me say it again so she literally doesn't spam the shit out of it i don't think you read me when i said with 45% CDR the cooldown of her Q would already be finished by the time the last rock is shot

Dedrius1 votes

That would honestly be pretty broken. She can already shove in waves extremely fast and with her passive she roams very well, this would put her over the top in lane and teamfights.

I Be Rad1 votes

its short range and can be blocked by minions. And the damage does less for each subsequent Q thrown. It's currently severely held back by the Worked Earth mechanic. You cannot tell me that Taliyah, who is a rather mediocre champion, needs this many restrictions whilst Yasuo, Zed, Ekko, and Azir have the kits that they do.

Taliyah is the only champion who is ultimately punished for using abilities, and it feels terrible.

Dedrius1 votes

I honestly think Taliyah is pretty strong, and not mediocre. She has a lot of utility and shoves very quickly, the only thing keeping her from constantly instashoving every wave is her worked ground mechanic which I think is an interesting way to stop her from permashoving the lane and roaming with her passive.

Rico Nasty3 votes

What are you talking about? I love her conceptually, but I was so disappointed. Her kit is straight up awful.

The Lexer3 votes

Surfer Taliyah pls. c'mon her passive is already surfing and I'm sure there are many water-themed ways to change her other abilities

No no let them buff her.

I remember when Bard got a ride on the buff train a while back and I was like ??? I thought he was fine but okay ill take it.

She is definitely fun, but her worked ground mechanic locks her from being a good champ. Right now unfortunately she is mediocre at best and can be replaced by anyone that does her job better.

Wait wait wait....theres another mage that can make a wall blocking enemy champs into a surefire death scenarion from super far away AND come riding in to kill them if they try to dash over the wall!? Who is this magical champion of which you speak!?

Ok sorry for the dickish sarcasm but she really does do an amazing job as a supportish/main ap dmg mid laner. Lotsa of peel, block, and gank built into that kit if people learn it.

Azir does all of these things albeit throughout different skills

but does he come flying in from mid lane to do it? My point was she has awesome map control compared to some popular mid picks atm. Sure others have control but I think Taliyah may be the fastest at it without taking teleport. Even though she can do that as well and be even faster at it.

Alüe1 votes

Compared to most mid laners she's useless atm. If bot and top are doing there roles perfectly well (should be warding) and mid is calling mia's her global pressure diminishes significantly. compared to a tf, ziggs or an xerath, i would prefer any of those over her considering they have containment over other lanes.

I still think she has a really good approach to teamfights that hasn't quite been seen yet. TBH if the pros really learn her strengths they would murder a lane badly if someone stays in reserve on the safe side of the wall to catch a flash. Can you imagine azir support or Allistar support that just sits back on the other side and just bumpers people back in all the time? And with the support changes coming soon there may very well be a good option to anti vision (hopefully) to make stuff like that a thing. I think she opens up a lot of team comps that weren't previously possible and people are just to scared to experiment.

Alüe1 votes

I guess i should rephrase, its not that her damage isn't high enough, but that due to making any use of her abilities shes in pretty close proximity to any of the opposing champions. most of the midlaners excel in certain areas Xerath his range Zed mobility Azir zoning, she just can't perform against them imo. if they were to increase her range and or remove the worked ground effect she would be a solid mid laner.

Taliyah at least needs to aim her damage. Azir is just AoE right click damage. Whoever thought that was a good idea...

The thing is they know the wall is coming before she even gets there so their dash gets used before she can even use her W. So now she either is on the wrong side of the wall with enemy with only her E as "cc" to defend herself. Don't get me wrong though, I've played her and trapped people but 9/10 times people will just cross it with no problem before I get there. One memorable time is trapping a gragas and mundo, gragas flahed over and mundo...well mundo had a bad time. But the thing is I needed allies to kill them, like i said Taliyah does no damage unless she's constantly moving thanks to her shitty worked ground mechanic.

Who is Taliyah2 votes

I also really like Taliyah. The most fun Champ I have ever played. She doesn't really need buffs, I just wish her W would cast faster.

I love her too. I do still wish her W was a vector cast (like Viktor's E) even after reaching mastery 5 with two tokens for her. There have just been a couple times where it really screwed me up. For instance, I was stunned when I thought I did the first cast, so when I actually did the first cast (which I thought was the second cast), it was a world away from my enemy. Now I know that that was my fault (should have realized I was stunned), but it does still annoy me every now and then.

Other than that though, she is fantastic. Quite possibly my favorite champion in the game to play right now,

cinomenapplebae2 votes

I personally like the cast how it is since it gives you some time to decide where you want to throw them.

Aiqua1 votes

Well The thing about her W is that you can actually just leave it and knock them straight up like a sion q if you'd like that has a longer delay on it I think but it works in some situations

For example What if you're fed and fighting a juggernaut like nasus who's flash is down but they're also kinda ahead You don't want to knock him away he'll just wither you and run, but you don't wanna knock him towards you he'll eq you and maul you

LatetotheRace1 votes

I like how moderate she is in damage and CC, as she's definitely different from the whole op af instaban release champs. It was good seeing her on the weaker side on release.

(That ult gives her the potential to be the queen of throws :P)

An Undead brat1 votes

But also a queen of comebacks. I remember when I split fed Ire from rest of her team and they could do nothing but watch her die.

deadlychuck1 votes

I still wish that they'd change her W to vector casting. The double tap feels clunky

Urf Mode Is Life1 votes

The only thing i hate is what feels like a GCD between her W and E... i wish they were able to be used right ontop of one another but there is like a .5-1 second delay in there that kinda gimps how godly that combo could be

An Undead brat1 votes

Tbh it would be OP.

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

I think she's fun, but her kit is trash. Her Q and R are INSANELY over powered to compensate for how terrible her w and e are. It's like a blitz crank scenario except worse. She can do well in the right hands but if the opponent is competent at all, you can easily destroy her as she's easily countered by like every single champion .

Solari Fortune3 votes

but her E W combo is where a lot of her damage lies

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

Its not her Q does almost all of it, but even the E W combo is insanely unreliable for how easy it is to dodge.

The Lexer1 votes

Her q does a lot, but a well-landed E-W is great as well. The biggest problem is that you have to be awkwardly positioned to get a good ult after 25 min. And the her W is just a tad slow on the knock-up, but, well, counterplay I guess

An Undead brat1 votes

Lol I max E first... You can spam it unlike Q and it's dmg is ridiculous, it's even reliable when you hit the slow, they cannot dodge W

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

Yea spam that 110 mana E go for it.

An Undead brat1 votes

Like... Hit it once, all health pots are burner, twice and he must go back... It has dmg af, spamming is meant more like that you don't need to worry about the worked ground...

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

THats only going to work against really shitty players who can't dodge her W, and are dumb enough to walk up taliyah within 500 range, as a god dam mage.

"OH yea let me lux just walk up another 700 units, loool"

An Undead brat1 votes

Sure it can't cover the whole lane, oh god, every champion has weaknesses, that's like saying Zed's useless cause he can't reach Xerath because he's melee!

xxxDogmanxxx1 votes

YEAH! Taliyah Mains Unite!!! I now have a Level 7 Mastery on her. Super fun champion.

An Undead brat1 votes

I don't main her though, but I can see she'll get into my closer champion pool
