@riot Champ select trolls

Hey riot I just wanted to thank you for punishing me for having to dodge ranked game champ select trolls. Back in season 1 and 2 you could simply just wait to get back in queue with no lp loss or any actual punishment. But now with your improved system I lose 3 lp per dodge. oh actually that's incorrect that wouldn't be that bad since it doesn't actually affect your mmr and its only 3, nah if you get two trolls within 16 hours of playing ranked. Some people play more than one ranked game a day you lose 12 lp, and the third dodge within 16 hours is even worse, although i don't know what that is considering at that point i just play the game that we're gonna lose and waste 20-30 minutes. Well thanks for reading and I just wanted to make your day by thanking you for having a punishment system, not for the champ select trolls, but the real players that put in effort to better themselves as a player and try to climb ranked.

I have to agree with this. I had THREE games in a row with "X role or feed". If you aren't going to lessen the penalty for dodging, at least add a report button in the champ select screen. It would make your job SO much easier since you would only need 2 seconds to look at the chat and ban the troll.

i agree, you should be able to report ever player that pick lee sin or yi and kick them out of champ select

My first reaction was that there's no safeguard for players who excel at an unconventional champ or role. Especially in the low ranks, you've got an army of meta-enforcers who insist that you take X champ to Y lane just because they aren't banned.

Almost all of my wins on Morgana, for example, are from going top lane. I also catch a ton of shit for it, but it's not all that difficult to queue into a group that knows I'm not trolling. Just think about how long it would take for an experienced Malz jungle or Irelia mid to even get into a game.

It would also somewhat trivialize the importance of bans. If somebody bans Sejuani, Fizz, and Blitzcrank and ends up against a team of Jax, Katarina, Hecarim, Leona, and Vayne, they can just dodge and wait for an easier opponent. There's no skill in banning when you can just chain-queue until none of the 10 champs you hate is on the other team.

That said, I have been on the shit end of last pick going "mid or feed." In some cases, the entire team has re-shuffled (even after picks) to try an accommodate the troll for the good of the team. It sucks. My way around that has been to main champs who can fill multiple roles on the fly. I wish there was a way to dodge these people, but every obvious solution also punishes lots of fine players.

Maybe something like a "dodge ticket" system could work where you earn a free dodge for every 10 games played to the end (no ff). This could incentivize good sportsmanship and allow infrequent free dodges for cases like you describe. Players could decide for themselves whether it's worth dealing with the troll and act accordingly.
