I was at 99lp and I won a game that got me into my promo series, I gain about 26-24 lp a game so I probably lost 24lp by getting into my promos, I lose a game in my promos and it brought me down to 85lp I think thats absolutely absurd because I basically lost 24lp by WINNING a game.

Alright, so you're effectively at 100LP

You didn't "lose" anything here. It was used up to get into promos.

You were at 100, lost a game. So now you're at 85. Where exactly did you lose anything? Yes, you didn't overcap because you got into promos, but that isn't losing LP. You used it to get in your promotion games. You could make the argument the system should be changed, but your statement that you lost LP from winning simply isn't true.
Tell us the whole story that happened. Your story isn't complete.
I have been told you still gain and lose LP during promos. So it isn't like you only gained 1 LP. Game 1 = 99 -> 125, promo Game 2 - Loss 125 -> 105, still in promo Game 3 - Loss 105 -> 85, failed promos
I may have heard the other person incorrectly. Maybe you only lose LP and not gain. But because of this, I have heard people complain the order you lose in Promo matters. Lose-Win-Lose is ok but Win-Lose-Lose puts you further away from repeat promo.
It looks like you copy/pasted this twice in the same hour on two different accounts, with the only difference being "winning" is in caps.
