You realize that mages can use Zhonya's to negate some or all of Katarina's ultimate and to stall out their deaths (denying Katarina resets in a teamfight) right? It's one of the better items to get against her (maybe not as a rush, but eventually).
zhonyas is kind of a luxury item on both of them.. it'd hurt other mages a LOT more.
Zhonyas is what a lot of mages use to counter leblanc and kat, especially kat. Because of the stasis, they become invincible. Live a bit longer. CANT BE HIT BY KAT'S ULT

Honestly, you don't even need to get rid of it necessarily, just make cooldowns not go down while in the stasis. Will definitely hurt Kat, but LB, I'm not totally sure of (haven't played against her enough to know her CDs)
How would Zhonya's hurt Leblanc? She just W's out anyway.

I haven't built Zhonyas on LeBlanc in a looong time. There are more effective items.
