Yasuo's Wind Wall blocks Soraka's new Starcall? WHY.

I am NOT about to let this get through, Starcall falls from the SKY it should not be blocked by Yasuo's cheese wall.

Because it's an accepted fact of League that when Yasuo is on the enemy team, ranged champions don't get to play.

sp4419/13/2014, 7:52:04 PM26 votes

Because Yasuo is the human Teemo. Whenever he's on a team, the opposing team is not going to have fun.

Does it really? Well, that's stupid. Sure, it comes down at a slight angle, but that's hardly a 'projectile' like other spells; it's more of an animation.

Yasuo is a balanced champion who takes skill.

What wind wall does and doesn't block is pretty inconsistent and questionable overall. It would be nice if the whole mechanic was re-evaluated for consistency. Lux ult goes right through his wall? I think that is fair but it raises questions about other spells or "non solids" that are and are not blocked!? Only solid "projectiles" that would have to make direct contact should be blocked by the wall IMO. I made the image linked at the bottom to demonstrate some of these points. Someone over on stack exchange made this great list here on what Yasuo does block. Having "projectile" blocking walls is a fun mechanic, but should definitely made more consistent and more thought out then only blocking casts that are coded as "projectiles".

It's a wind wall, not a wind cocoon... It shouldn't block things falling from the sky (stars, satellites, cows etc.).

I laughed when i saw the person that wrote yasuo is a balanced champion that takes skill

YASUO OPYasuo

Owatatsumi Kami9/14/2014, 8:59:16 PM4 votes

If that is the case that is really stupid. I agree 100% it shouldn't be that way. It makes no sense. Stars falling from the sky aren't projectiles.

ShadowGlaive2139/15/2014, 1:03:01 PM3 votes

What blasphemy is this? Someone right this injustice! The stars call for justice!

Serpents Embrace9/13/2014, 12:17:25 PM2 votes

But they have to standardize everything. Is a mage, support or marksman casting it? Then Yasuo and Braum should block it - duh.

Riot please fix, k thx

Captain Astora9/14/2014, 4:54:59 AM2 votes

This is why we need Shurelya back, She was the only fucking Rioter who had a clue what to do about supports and what support players enjoyed being able to do. Ever since she left, riot has been killing supports more and more.

Wind Wall is kind of buggy as shit, should be fixed soon enough

Now if only targeted spells would stop passing through it

Because Yasuo is total BS, that's why.

Janna Haze10/23/2014, 1:47:21 PM1 votes

What Yasuo wall actually needs is an aoe indicator on the ground just like other skills because the animation is very misleading about from what angels you can attack him.

Ironclad Dragon10/23/2014, 2:08:48 PM1 votes

Because it comes in through an angle.

Jamini10/23/2014, 2:21:14 PM1 votes

I can 1-up this.

Braum's shield will stop Ezreal's ultimate. Even wind wall doesn't stop Arcane Barrage.

Can wind wall block xerath ult?

doubleguac10/23/2014, 3:47:52 PM1 votes

People need to remember that interactions like this usually aren't intentional; Riot doesn't just go through every ability and hit a check box to determine whether or not it gets blocked by Yasuo's wind wall.

It has to do with the way the ability is coded in the game. Soraka's starcall is apparently coded as a projectile, so it gets blocked. If you think that's a serious balance problem, by all means call Riot's attention to it. But asking for a change here is asking Riot to alter the way the ability is coded in game. They can't just pull an on/off switch.

It sounds annoying, and it's definitely counter-intuitive, but, frankly, it doesn't seem like the end of the world to me. Starcall has a very low CD at max rank. I can't imagine many games are won or lost because a starcall got blocked by Yasuo.

John Berserk9/14/2014, 12:18:13 AM1 votes

Does it destroy the Starcall completely, or just short of push it back similar to Nami's Q?

Either way I don't think it should block it. :/ Hopefully they look into that and reconsider it, assuming it was intentional.
