PSA for all Gold and below ADC players from a support main.

Please, please, please stop mindlessly autoattacking/casting spells on the minion wave. I can't poke aggressively against that Blitz if he's threatening to yank me in and fist me while his turret blasts my ass. And moreso, early game I can't have 100% up-time on wards guarding gank routes and pushing while blind is an invitation to their jungler to murder us regardless of how well we're doing so far in lane.

Let them push the wave to us, let them be vulnerable to not only our jungler, but for us to have space to chase them down or zone them with poke and damage. Minion management is just as important, if not more so to winning lane as simply out trading your opponent.

Actually the way you beat blitz is to push in the wave. He cannot hook you behind your own minion wave. On the other hand... if you let blitz and his adc push he has so much pressure on you

Currently support bronze elo. I will just leave the lane if you do this stupid autoattacking BS. Better one death every three minutes than two.

In low elo, sometimes it's best to just play support with Zyra Lux Brand Velkoz that way if your ADC can't CS worth shit at least you don't have to watch the minions go to waste.

I don't think people understand this enough. I've had people tell me that farming under THEIR turret is "optimal" because it denies them CS.

Well, yeah, but you're also inviting their jungler down for virtually a free double. You might out-CS them doing this, but they'll make up for it in lane pressure/kills.

Half of getting out of bronze is getting captain oblivious two and three kills when the enemy jungler visits.

Hell, I'm a lowly bronze player and even I know not to full on attack the wave and to just last hit.

I wish any adc's in my ELO would understand this. That and blue trinkets. I remind people a half dozen tines, maybe one person might get it. Usually I just have to buy it myself, and forgo sweeper.

When I ADC I try to just last hit but end up pushing the wave. I'm ok at manipulating waves (freezing, shoving, etc.) to a certain extent and if my support ever asks me to stop shoving so hard, I know when to lay off. Most ADC players are dicks but some of us are cool guys, maybe?

it seems every ranked game that bot lane acts like a total dipshit early in lane

Alleo2/1/2016, 1:32:36 AM1 votes

Sometimes I place more wards than my support. I literally place them on cd. I only push lane if I know I can out trade the opposing players to force them off of cs. Except when there's a Blitzcrank... Then I never push lane past river unless he is dead/in another lane.

Depends.

First, let me say... playing Stupidly is playing Stupidly. So I'm not talking about 'mindless AA and Spells on Minions'.

Power Push IS a method, especially in Low Level Play where a few things are gained.

Generally, weaker players are unable to punish mistakes. Also, generally weak players don't handle pressure well.

When you Push, you open yourself up to more mistakes... but a Low Elo they are less likely to punish you for that... which leads to you putting Pressure on them... which at Low Elo causes Poor Players to crumble.

As for their Jungle coming behind you... you don't have a Jungle? You can't communicate with your Jungle? How about if you know you are going to go Aggressive you communicate with your Jungle to be able to keep it a 3v3?

The power of Early Turret Taking can be huge, allowing Bot to Roam for more Kills, take other Objectives and do more Counter Jungling. As with most things, what is ACTUALLY required is better Team Communication and Reaction.

Yeah. I remember being Nami and getting aggro'd to hell and back by a Lulu support while my ADC ignored her and pushed the lane. It...did not go well. XD

I play a ton of Leona support and I know your pain. Occasionally I'll get a carry who will push like no tomorrow and then I can't do anything but wait for the inevitable gank. The jungler will come out through river, I'll jump on them while my carry runs from the enemy duo, and one of us is likely to die. We will at least be pushed out of lane. Then we lose a lot of health on the turret or have no contesting power for dragon...

Instead of pushing all the time, how about we focus on poking the enemy down so I can go in and prevent them from running to their tower? (or even dive them, if they have low hp) Or we focus on CS and wait for a gank? Leona loves ganks from any type of jungler.

But no. I get Caitlyn the pushing machine, who thinks I'm mana-battery Soraka or something.

It seemed like people used to understand that pushing is generally not the best strategy unless you really are going to take down that tower. I think when people realized how important the level 2 burst is they figured out that pushing right when you get out to lane (also when the jungler is on their first clear and unlikely to gank anyone) is a good idea but forgot that any time after that it just means you're making yourself vulnerable for no reason.

PSA to all Gold and below supports: stop making shitty PSAs that blame every problem on the ADC.

Mandang02/1/2016, 5:38:22 PM1 votes

Blitz is just going to hook you freely if you let the wave push to your tower...
