So since Yasuo was free this week, I figured I'd give him a go in the toplane. I was versing a Malphite (he went full AP). So I didn't care too much, but I noticed something in my teammates. They didn't seem to like me much and even said I was feeding (I was 5/5 at the time) and wanted to report me when our Akali literally had one less death than me. I mentioned this and they said "She's 10x better than you". I let them know that I was 1st time Yasuo and our Xayah simply said "facepalm reported" So when the game ended I had like 34K damage which was huge compared to my team. In the lobby they just said "report yasuo no teamwork" Ichuckled and wondered what would have happened if I was playing Fiora instead.

So do people just feel toxic towards Yasuo players automatically?

Well to be fair it was his FIRST game on the champion, not just one game. meaning he currently 100% on toxic games playing Yasuo.

Albeit he could play more games before posting. However it is worded as a question and not a statement, he may just actually be asking if people are toxic to Yasuos, which i would definitely respond with yes.

You have to remember, this post isn't claiming anything, and is phrased as a question. He explained is experience and then posed the question "So do people just feel toxic towards Yasuo players automatically?"

Granted the steroeotype isn't without warrant, but it's sad how a fed bad eggs warp the perception and experiences of people that genuinely just want to try Yasuo out without feeding or acting like an absolute dick to either team.

And the people that flame people for just playing a certain champion are dumping oil on the fire Yeah, there is reason for the stereotype to exist, there are toxic yasuo players, but they're not all of them, and it's not fair to ones that are decent human beings to get treated that way due to the stigma that is present.

Tbh I and most people I'm aware of stop feeling that way once they learn how to abuse Teemo's low range and lack of defense. "Hating" Teemo is a meme at this point; nobody actually thinks he's strong. (Because he isn't.)

He's not necessarily strong, but he is sure annoying (kinda like Yas in that regard - he may be balanced but he's not fun to play against for many people)

The main difference though is that Teemo is only truly annoying when you're new and can't figure out how to deal with a ranged harass in Top. Yasuo remains practically impossible for many people to answer no matter how experienced they are. Teemo eventually fades into "not that bad" or even "troll pick, ez win for his opponent."

Teemo Yasuo Riven Lux Blitzcrank Ahri all these champions and more..have a nice aura around them that pretyt much just tell everyone enemy or allie..*mind you blitz is thinking about the enemy team and there response.*that pretty much just says let me tilt you harder then a fed Garen spamming his laugh and mastery 7 badge like hes a god.

I remember a time when Lux was far more hated than Yasuo and Riven combined, especially when she was a popular support pick in s4. I miss those days, I got a good laugh when an entire team chased me into a bush where mine was waiting to ambush.

Oh no, that's not even my worst crime. I did tank Lux, like full on had a warmog's and everything. Their confusion was glorious to behold as 3 assassins and a mage are here trying to burst me down while I run them in circles stunning and whittling them down.

It's because of all the thrashing on Yasuo Riot themselves did, so now every kid that plays this game thinks thrashing Yasuo players is okay and that it makes you cool.

Think about the scrappy's of different shows or books or w/e. People hate them, and when you read about all the reasons people hate them and then watch/read/w/e the show, you will pay attention to the negatives more than the other things.

At this point I'm a completely unapologetic Yasuo player. I used to feel bad because people didn't like the champion at all so I didn't wanna be hated for playing him, but all the anti-Yasuo spam has just made me frankly not give a fuck. It's funny because Yasuo and his players are similar. Hated and isolated by the people around 'em. I play the game to have fun, and Yasuo is fun for me. And at the end of the day, aren't games for fun?

Yasuo, Riven, Vayne, the thing these champs have in common is how you get treated when you play them. You cant be mad at them for being hostile when all they get even if they arent is hostility. I actually used to play riven alot, stopped because everytime i didnt hardcore carry a game i was getting flamed so much because "FKN FEEDER RIVEN SUCKS ASS"

People who trash at a Yasuo player for every single move he does is why I don't Yasuo that often anymore. Playing him makes me feel like my teammates are holding me at gunpoint and that when I die EVEN ONCE, they'll pull the trigger at me.

This is really only true for newer Yasuo players/people who don't know how to play him very well. Yasuo is intended to be a champ that can 1v5 in the right situations with good mechanics, it's just being able to see those situations that sets apart a good yas player from a bad yas player.

Absolutely. there is a huge bias against yasuo and locking him in almost guarantees you will be berated by your teammates for the next 20+ minutes. its the third part of yasuo's passive.

the fourth part is a global taunt. I was playing Yasuo vs another Yasuo today in the midlane. everything was going smoothly until the top jayce literally roamed mid 3 times in the first 10 minutes instead of dealing with Yorick. Master Yi came twice.

then at around 11 minutes I was sitting under my tower at 3/4ths HP. One of my allies had pinged missing but I wasn't worried because I was under tower. All of the sudden they gangbang me 4v1 under turret. From all sides. Literally their support and ADC come around from wolves, while Jayce and enemy Yasuo come at me head on from mid.

i can understand the 4v1 to get mid but they didn't even bother to stay and damage tower. everyone went back to farming. Like WTF? 4v1 mid JUST to kill me? Followed by about 3 minutes of them flaming me in all-chat, telling me I was bad because I can't fend off a 4v1 dive...

I like Yasuo but playing him is literally just asking to get cancer over the next 30 min.

People wonder why Yasuo and Riven mains are so salty but it's because they are literally the scapegoats in every scenario, and every little mistake is criticized by both teams nonstop.

Not everyones like that, i dread having a yasuo on my team or the enemy team but i don't flame them, usually Yasuo player's are the ones that are toxic but not everyone is the same. I got blamed my last game yesterday even though i was the strongest on the team and had the least deaths, i was playing diana but some people are just jerks.

Well. The toxic players are one of the reasons why people hate Yasuo and Riven. The second reason is that everyone hates playing against those champions. Well not everyone but like 70% of league players despise playing against those champion because they feel unfair to play against. And when you get a Yasuo or Riven who feeds you just get angry because you never get "the good one" Im personally ok with riven (As in I dont wish she fell of the face of the planet and died) But I DESPISE Yasuo to no end. He just pisses me off. But no matter how much I hate the champion I will never flame my Yasuo or ban his champion becuase I dislike the champion that much. I wont flame unless hes 0/7 . I think people should have the common decency to not hate on your teammates for the champions they pick and hate them just because of that. Just call him a %%%% if you hate him that much at the start and then mute the guy. If he starts spamming his mastery in a winning lane try not to tilt. He wants that. Good Yasuo mains know how much they piss everyone off and they use that to win. They tilt you so you play worse. And no matter how much I try and stay objective here. I will admit that my favorite thing in the game is watching him die. And that when I camp a Yasuo to the point that he cant even be useful I feel really good on the inside. Bottom line. Hate on the inside. Dont verbalize your hatred.
