Current pre-season feels like lane bullies reign supreme.

As title.

I think one of the most ironic things is that Pre-Season 6 has now introduced the Cull, which is theoretically a great item for Vayne, Kog'Maw and other such champions who are designed around having a weak early game but a strong lategame.

Except... it's not a sustainable option. You can't elect to just farm and get out ahead: the current impactful masteries and the AD buffs have ensured that, at least in bot lane, an all-in lane bully team is much stronger than a farm/sustain lane. The highly increased damage through masteries and buffs mean that, if you're up against Lucian with an all-in support? Once you get caught, you're dead. Season 5 at least had the option of surviving, but that's not quite as possible here. Unless support gets caught, then ADC could all-in other ADC and win, but the damage they do is much higher now.

When it's Graves, he just dashes towards you and you lose half your HP when the trade ends. He's THAT strong up close.

So you have the Cull, on paper a fantastic item if we had had it in Season 5, for all those ADCs who just wanted to farm. The current patch, however, simply doesn't permit that. Games end early and they end quickly, usually snowballing out of control in a major way.

I kind of liked Season 5's pacing, it feels like Pre-Season 6's pacing is way too rapid. The Cull represents how painful it is: an item that I would've been excited about in Season 5 feels like a noob trap at the moment.

Just keep in mind this is pre-season. Pre-season is a period of experimentation and change for League. Although, I do commend you for not being on of them "Pre-season ruined League, I'm quitting" bullshitters.

Yep, totally agreed: pre-season is a time for experimentation. That's why I think it's good we let Riot know how the current pre-season feels, whether we enjoy it, and what we'd rather have. I like having a slower pace for games. Not one hour slow, but slow enough that we'll get to that 20 minute mark before the game is "won" and you're just counting down to /ff.

loving that i can play most games in under 30 min. Sorry but early 1 hour per game was way to much time to invest in one match. I had almost stopped playing cause of it and working 12 hours a day would only leave me enough time for say 2 matches if i was lucky, i started to feel like it required to much comittment every day. The last few days i have been able to get in twice as many games, is it a lot more snowbally hell yes and im ok with that

I like fast paced games. but I liked when you could elect to have a slow pace game, and that's just not an option right now.... :(

IMO neither strategy should be dominant they should both be viable. in a game with both teams trying to snowball, it should be a race decided by twenty minutes. a game with both teams trying to play late game should have the baron or five drag be game closers at thirty to forty minutes. and when a snowball is matched verse a lategame team, then it should be a matter of which team counters the other's strategy better. where if the snowball team is ahead by ten minutes they can close the game by fifteen minutes, or with first baron. but if the late game team only drops a few kills or towers and aren't significantly enough behind, they just naturally scale better off of CS, perhaps even are rewarded with things like cull. but if the snowballing team can get every drag in order to win a late game as long as they keep the pressure on, but if they slip up and can't keep the pressure it's game over. but if they use their early advantage for a significant lead, the tools exist to end the game on their own before the twenty minute mark.

it should be an uphill battle for lategame teams before twenty minutes, but if that team can contest jungle objectives by twenty minutes it becomes an uphill battle for the early game team.

I actually think all in lanes as a whole got nerfed bot lane because of Windspeaker's Blessing, the upgrade to frostfang, and the GW changes. Cull is still a bad item because bot lane is just so snowbally but I don't think it's because all in lanes are better.

Better than waiting 20 minutes to play the game with a passive laner
