Maybe I'm wrong, but new Maokai looks like he'll work well with Adaptive helm
His passive benefits from you taking direct hits from spells, so wouldn't it be handy to have an item that switches spell resistances?

There will never be an item that will replay the insane damage reduction he had with his ult though
Ultimately, he will not be as tanky.
