Can Twisted Fate get assists?

Gahaha··28 votes·2,490 views

So many times I pop my ult to reveal a fleeing Shaco/Talon/Teemo, or I am at base and team chases an enemy, that enemy is low but already has a clear path to escape, I pop my ult and they took an alternate path and team caught up and killed. PLEASE!!!

I think the problem is that every time someone on tf's team is about to get a kill, he can simply ult to score a free assist. There doesn't seem to be a reliable way to let him earn assists based on vision, since there are too many variables and possible situations for it to be abused. Besides, can you imagine having item 3141 and item 3041 ?

^Pretty much this. Unfortunate, but would be really hard to make it work.

I play AP gankplank top and rush maejis with dorans ring start, you sit there passively farming, ignoring their laner with all you sustain but helping your bot or mid or something with ult to get those sweet stacks. Then you show up with 20 stacks and a lich bane, never have gotten past that point. Idk if its actually viable but its fun a/f. I have won about 20 or so games with it and only lost one, all in normals tho.

Soraka ?

not a starburst1 votes

Except if Soraka ults unnecessarily like that, they might lose the next fight. TF ults, he just uses it to TP somewhere else faster. It's a nice idea, but it's so horrendously easy to abuse that it won't work.

Karthus, GP, Soraka.....

Karthus.

Assists are not based on vision. Vision is 100% utility, and TF's ult vision is used primarily as a tool to let you know where you're most useful to teleport to as TF.

But I revealed them!

MrPerson103 votes

So does a ward.

Learn to deep ward, voila. Now you see them.

Gahaha10 votes

I want assists for those too! And a ward doesn't make the other guy run a different direction you simpleton. Please learn some reasoning, there are books on it.

MrPerson103 votes

Neither does you ult to create vision.

Please learn how to play the game, let us know when you stop thinking like a level 2.

Gahaha9 votes

People run a different way and end up dying because they think I am going to ult in on them, reasoning OP, time to go back to the slums and learn some grammar.

MrPerson102 votes

Bronze players run a different way, anyone with a clue runs where they need to be running to. After all, there is an animation for where you're going to.

Time to stay in bronze.

Gahaha9 votes

I got Gold 2 last season within 48 games lol time for YOU to stay in bronze. I've had diamonds and plats in normals run a different way too don't be dumb.

MrPerson102 votes

You mean time for me to stay in Platinum I?

Try again.

Gahaha10 votes

Then you are fully retarded if you don't realize that it does indeed make people change directions, and anyone can post a link to a random account, want me to post a link to bjergsen's? Lol time to go home downy.

MrPerson102 votes

If I wanted to stroke my ego, I'd say I'm nightblue3. I'm not. I'm in platinum because I have terrible decision making skills when committing to objectives or not, being that I main Kat - who's extremely god damn squishy I don't like being near objectives for too long unless they're a guaranteed take.

When you realize you have to actually cast your ult TP for anyone to care about which direction you're heading, then you can speak.

Gahaha11 votes

I mained TF to gold 2, many times I cast my ult far ahead from the enemy because either 1. It's a Zed with ult up 2. They have a blink or escape

Many times my ult does make people take a different path or hesitate, come on even a bronze would realize that.

MrPerson102 votes

Sure, they may hesitate. The only time you're going to deter them is if you're not in a choke point.

Why are you ulting a runner outside of a choke point?

Gahaha5 votes

I am at base and ult runner so he hesitates and change direction, even though I am not in range to TP in, or Talon pops ult to get away but I reveal him, you understand now bronzie?

MrPerson102 votes

Then their decision making is shit. No ulti TP indicator, they shouldn't be hesitating or differing from their path unless they've noticed a nearby opponent go missing who is capable of cutting them off - in which case you differ from your path away from those chasing you and that potential person.

This isn't difficult. That's why you're not in high platinum, you think the indicator that TF ulted for vision is going to scare someone, and it might in that elo - it doesn't when you actually climb.

I think OP might have a downvote bot, because you're bringing up all legitimate reasons and he's being a whiny child, saying "NO, my way is better cuz ur a downy"

so confused.

MrPerson101 votes

I know, I'm not worried about a bronzie not knowing his way around basic decision making.

BallisticMouse1 votes

Fact of it is you could get way too many assists for just popping your ult. Many players would pop it just for the assist of a kill that is about to happen, it would be abused more than be helpful.

Sammystorm3 votes

you sound kind of angry and really are just making a fool out of your self. I would post this about the other guy but I think you are more rational.

Uber's uber tactics buy a mejais ult make bitches do all the work 20 stacks baby

Sammystorm3 votes

Can aniva get assists for blocking someone with a wall?

Narasimha1 votes

Then people would just pop their ults everytime theres a teamfight and expect to earn free gold.

The Chain Warder1 votes

I agree. People are saying it'd make it too easy to get free assists, but champions like Soraka can already do this, so why not Twisted Fate?

Solidair31 votes

I think the only way to make it make sense to give it an assist without being too op, would be if it's used exclusively to reveal a stealthed champion.

This. If I blow up my 3-minute cool down and all my gank potential tied with it just to reveal someone, I better get some gold for that.

Laraso1 votes

I can't count the amount of times I've led an enemy to their doom with my portal as Bard, only to not get an assist.

Meep Man1 votes

Wards shouldn't provide assists, but Twisted Fate's ultimate vision? Yes. However, I can see the coding getting really complex since if you already have vision of the champion, then you would get an assist for just pressing R for any kills obtained in the map for the next couple seconds. Worth coding, but would be pretty complex.

I play a lot of Twisted Fate and I even think this is broken. Mainly because towards the middle of the team fight you could just ult and no matter what you actually do get 5 assists. Really broke. Good idea though.
