Thoughts on sion remake

I didnt really put must thought into the remake. I mostly seen it as an excuess to introduce a new champ using and old champ.

Well after playing him i have to say he does have a high fun factor to him and when played well can scare the crap out of the other team.

Nice job riot

Sion would like to ask why you need a sharp ax. Is your PUNY BODY too weak to crush your opponents into the dust without one?

Lemme just say one thing: the new ult is so fucking awesome.

I haven't really been able to play him since I notice in every single game that I've played today, Sion is immediately autolocked. From what I've seen (And I suck at playing this game), Sion seems to be a difficult champion to use. Either that, or the Sions on every single one of my team bought him and haven't played with his new playstyle in AI's or something.

So far, the main thing I have noticed on 3's from pretty much every Sion in my game both in the enemy team AND my own team:

1: Everyone loves activating their ult at base in Twisted Treeline and then crash stunning into the wall 5 feet in front of them. RIP Sion after Darius pulls you out of your own base while you're still stunned, q, w, hit twice and then ult back into death again.

2: Many try to charge up their Q's thinking that it's automatic, and then they get their Q cancelled and then blame the jungler even though they aren't in the same lane. Or they blame the enemy team for hacking or saying that his Q channeling shouldn't be able to be cancelled.

3: Charging headfirst into a turret is fun especially when the enemy team is hiding in the bush right next to the turret, all of them.

4: In my past 3 games with a Sion on both sides, there was only one Sion player in 6 that was not an enormous jerk. I know it will sound biased, but I guess with the remake, many Sion players must have also gotten toxic both in gameplay and communication. But I'm only doing a small sampling group. After I hit 20-30 games of somehow consecutive Sions on btoh sides, I'll be able to deliver a more accurate opinion of Sion players' personalities rather than just with a three game sample size. Even though this isn't directly related to the Sion remake as a character and mechanic-wise, it's still worth mentioning.

5: Grass must be pretty tall in the game now to hide an enormous probably 10 foot tall gargantuan of a champion in there without anyone noticing.

Edit: My mistake on number 4. I've had 3 games with Sions in it, but my last game did not have a Sion on the enemy team. I had a Lee Sin that was toxic on the other team both in /all chat and gameplay wise, ragequitting the game after. The Sion from my last game was toxic though.

The more toxic the team, the more toxic the Sion... we don't like being yelled at... it just turns into incoherent rage.

Using Sion's Q isn't actually that hard, but a lot of people are dumb (it is the internet, after all), and they don't understand how to use other skills in conjunction with the Q.

The Syndra on my team and I didn't really say anything to Sion until he died in the first 2 minutes. It went downhill from there and then he started blaming me for things that I couldn't control. Syndra and I were relatively non-toxic to each other. Both of us ignored Sion's raging while we both focused on capturing objectives rather than instigating him.

So i see you here trying to justify you and syndra insulting someone for dying after 2 minutes of game time, how sad are you?

IMO the Sion rework is op Bronze-Gold. Every game if the enemy Sion is not feeding my team will be to scared to do anything at all and we'll lose the game.

I agree, his new feel is awesome. Even his AA seem like they pack a heavier punch. His new Q however is (dare I say it?) the worst ability in League to date.

It's not meant to hit at 100% every time. It's meant to hit at like 50% maybe a little more which is why they let it stun after 50%. The only reason the 100% is there it to reward you for chaining it with your teammate's CC or punishing enemies for not reacting to you like they should.

This is all fine during team fights, although you get bursted down in a second since you're standing there winding up in the enemies face. But in a solo top lane,, it's pretty useless as anything other than a farming tool imo

except that hitting the 50% mark is just as impossible as hitting the 100% mark. you literally turn right or left and you are out of it. or just continue walking forward if he ever misses E.

you probably wont hit more than 1, 2 at most fully charged Qs in the entire game. and barely a handful of 50%ers. hes so ridiculously tall anyone can see him using it even if his Q animation wasnt telegraphed the entire time.

i "get" that you arent suppose to hit fully charged but, this isnt like absolute zero which applies debuffs during the channel. skills that lock you out need to be strong. and sion's is just improbable in any real scenarios.
