How is Brand support even fair?

I fixed it for you.

Brand support is mana hungry, skill shot-reliant and can be burst down faster than you can breathe. He's basically a less-reliable version of Annie support. There's plenty of counterplay, if he rolls over you, it's because either you or your support failed to adequately play against him

all his abilities that actually matter are skillshots and the other one is unreliable af.

He trades damage for lower CC/tankiness/initiation ability. The idea with Brand is to win lane early because the other stuff will tend to matter more than damage mid-late game.

Instabursting the adc is always nice

Because no mobility, pure skillshot, and single target CC that is also a skillshot and can only proc if his earlier skill landed.

Because he has possibly the lowest utility of any "meta" support, trading it for raw damage in lane. He also can only peel a single champion off of his carry, which makes them prime gank bait.

It honestly feels worse than Nidalee chucking spears. in the early laning phase. I have to always grab Sivir and even then my support always finds someway to gravitate towards his hadoukens.

Nah, I think Fiddlesticks is plain worse. You get in position to engages and he just silences you, leaving you on poke range. Or instead you engage successfully and he silence you + fear you so you are left without follow up damage

almost no cc his cc is often unreliable no sustain for him or his adc squishy af immobile extremely mana hungry

Gets ganked gets fucked.

It's just a hunch, but I think Brand does a lot of damage because maybe, just maybe, he was designed as a mid lane mage and not a support.

ill have to disagree about mana hungry. his mana pool is decent, ability cost quite good. His dmg is quite strong early and mid game and his stun reliable in the bot lane. Thats why hes picked sometimes there. hes a niche mage however and i dont think he will ever be picked mid competitively unless im mistaken already. Support hes strong, same reason why people were picking annie, voli or velkoz support.

also, saying he takes too much dmg there is ludicrous. He can trade very well from a far and actually excels against support or adcs all-in--ing him. thats just asking for you to get combo'd stun.
