"Ranged Tops are Cancer, please help Rito"

This is for every thread that has complained or whined about how ranged tops are ruining top lane: Please shut up, you don't know what you're saying. Some history: Ranged top laners have existed for all mankind. Kennen wasn't made yesterday. Neither was Jayce. Neither was Gnar. Neither was Quinn, or Graves, or any other damned ranged champion in the game. An assertion and some logic: Ranged top laners have not only existed for some time, they also are fairly well balanced. If you're having a hard time against a ranged champion, and you picked a melee champion; well yeah, that's the point. You have a ranged disadvantage. If you pick a champion that happens to close gaps extremely well, and can deal with ranged matchups quite well, then good on you! If you didn't, then that's your fault. And don't you dare complain about the inability to counter pick, lest we get rid of draft mode entirely. The one argument: "But there are no counters to ranged top!" No, you're totally right. I get that. Fiora, Irelia, Pressure Nasus, any other lane pusher, roamers, Jax, Kled (he's quite good into ranged, I find!); all these champions got moved to Dota two months ago. Unfortunate. A point to Malicious Metal: You're picking fuckin Mordekaiser top. That son of a bitch gets kited harder than any other goddamned juggernaut in the game, stop complaining. NO one complains when they get counter picked by anyone else, because it doesn't make sense to complain about disadvantages that are core to the experience League has to offer. -A Top Laner for 4 Seasons or so (if anyone has a really good counter argument, please insert below (in my pants))
