I'm actually really bad at this game

And you know what, I accept that I'm not the best. My only goal for this season is to crawl back to Bronze 1 after Riot decided it would be funny to kick me down to Bronze 5 but let me keep my ~1,100 MMR because, you know, shits and giggles or something. (edit: which basically means I'm still playing against silvers every game, but I'm a full rank beneath them)

So after crawling up to Bronze 3, I leave for a month to go outside and stuff, and when I come back I decide "Ok, time to keep on crawling!" And I'm not doing so great, so I decide to take a break from ranked and ruin my life in norms by trying out a new champion and losing every game (because I'm just REALLY bad at Lulu and should probably stop trying).

But you know what, I woke up today and I felt great, so I decided to try my luck at teammates with ranked again. And after waiting in queue for ten minutes to get autofilled into support, I was like "No big deal." I feel pretty good about my team, we're all chatting getting along just fine. Enter the game, me and my adc are doing pretty good in lane.

Mid lane dc's. The game is voted to Remake.

See, I should've just taken a break, but I'm retarded, so I did not. Instead I just back into queue and am autofilled into support again. This time, I know my team is going to be rough when already you have the jungle demanding top goes tank, and top asking for mid and mid saying no, and all this shit going on. Then we get into this short 18 minute game, and everything immediately goes downhill.

Let me reiterate:

SHORT. 18. MINUTE. GAME.

From the very beginning, my adc keeps trying to dive bot lane and keeps feeding. Over and over and over and over again. By 10 minutes in, both the enemy support and adc have 5 kills each. After myself dying twice trying to save my brain dead adc, and then another time under turret because that's fair, bot lane is sufficiently fed.

In ten minutes, our top lane loses both towers. Doesn't really feed, just loses lane completely.

In 15 minutes, our mid is sitting at base encouraging the enemy team to take mid--which they do. Also doesn't particularly feed, but certainly lets the katarina roam and feed elsewhere while he proceeds to 1) not push lane and 2) not follow--but he doesn't sit there and complain about bot lane losing.

And then throughout the game our jg is just completely underleveled. Can't even gank at level 6 because by the time he reaches level 6 two of our inhibitors (top and mid) are down.

So basically, that game was one big hilarious joke. We lost before Baron even spawned.

And then I got demoted to Bronze 4.

And now I'm just so done. I hate this game so much. I keep going through my games and rewatching them to figure out how I can do better, but then when I look at the scores and the maps of my defeats (which greatly outnumber my victories, because I'm just so bad), my teammates also perform poorly by 1) feeding, 2) losing lane, 3) NEVER LOOKING AT THE MAP/WARDING. And normally when I lose games, EVERYONE ON MY TEAM PLAYS LIKE THIS. As if Riot is putting all of the shitty players together so the other team can literally steamroll to victory.

And all the creates is one big hell hole of toxicity known as Bronze Hell, and I am so sick of it, and there is nothing I can apparently do about this obnoxious repetitive pattern. Except, of course, for the highly useful advice of "get gud" or "play Annie/Yasuo/Teemo/insert OP champion here and NOT support because you have to carry yourself out even though this is supposed to be a team game."

Okay.

Hey pal, You should find 5 others to play with. It will make your experience a lot more enjoyable if you play with players you trust and know they wont afk or dc or rage etc.

Try looking for some folks here, league community is pretty cool I think !

I was playing with my friends from school at first, but I left for a month--and when I got back they all climbed out too high to play with me anymore.

I have an irrational fear of ranked. I worried that once I finished my provisionals, I'd be stuck in an endless loop to climb out of Bronze and failing because I wasn't good enough. So I played normals endlessly and became decent at a few champs I loved. Probably most importantly, I learned how to deal with my frustrations and be positive toward my team.

When season 6 started, I unknowingly queued up for a series of ranked matches, since I had forgotten to switch the mode to normal draft. The game gave me a title, silver 5 in Sona's Vanguards, but it could not have mattered less. I had fun in those games, and I could have fun in any game I wanted to queue up for, regardless of feeders or any amount of toxicity.

So give yourself a rest. Then, play with people you enjoyed playing with instead of leaving it to chance. Being bad only means you have no choice but to get better.

I was silver 4 and got dumped into bronze 5 by provisionals. I climbed out in about a month. ELO Hell does not exist. I won't bother you with the statistical arguments for why this notion is just enforced by confirmation bias. But just know that you can climb out. Just work on your own play, be positive with your teammates, and warn people politely not to Baron if the enemy team is up. (I know baroning is fine with enemy team up given certain specific conditions, but it's just safer not to until everyone on the team is high enough level to recognize this)

Oh yeah, and mute anyone the moment they say anything negative. By that I mean "um, you should push that tower" is fine, but "push that tower wtf are you doing" is a mute.

You got what it takes. We all do. It takes right setting and matchup. There is always better players out there even for the ones who are that good. Make smart plays at right time and teamwork. Know when to poke and when to trade. Learn that with a team and it isn't so bad. But I always remind myself only one team is going to win.
