Steraks Guage vs GA on Pantheon

On champion.gg, people build a streaks on pantheon over a GA. Why is this? Isn't a ga so much better due to the armor and mr and the passive of it? Or is there something that I'm missing?

Well that depends entirely on what you're looking for. GA and Sterak's Gage don't really occupy the same niche. GA is also something of a limited item in that its passive has a 5 minute cooldown, vs Sterak's 45 second cooldown. One is purely defensive, one is more offensive.

With a GA, you can get isolated and blown up... GA brings you back just to be blown up again. Now your GA loses that Passive for a long time.

Sterek's they try to blow you up, you get angry. Even if they do blow you up, you'll have the same benefit soon enough.

It's the cost loss of having your GA Popped in a bad situation vs. a Sterek's that's almost always going to be useful.

I love GA because it grants both Armor and MR, which is huge... but you lose your Passive it's gone for a LONG time.

Simple really, item 3053 has a 40 second cooldown on its life saving ability. item 3026 has a 300 second cooldown on its life saving ability. Combined with it giving panth some ad and hp, and its clear why he would prefer it.

You really want to beast... get both.

You get low, Gage kicks in. They happen to get you, GA kicks in. Hopefully by then your Team has got to you so it's not a wasted GA Passive.

I wouldn't get Sterak's on Panth.

The shield and health are nice but you don't benefit at all from the base AD bonus since Panth's abilities only scale with "bonus" AD.

In other words, that passive will only increase your autoattacks by roughly 25 damage (Panth has 105 base AD at 18) and 50 when the shield procs.

I generally never get either though as I feel Dead Man's Plate, Maw, or Banshee's are better all around him (based on what you need each game).

If you do happen to get GA, sell it for one of those when it's on CD.

Thank you lol. yeah i like the Deadman's Plate because combine that with Panth's high movement speed and you can sell boots for another item in late late game team fights lol.
