Then I should not lose LP and get a dodge queue timer. I dont know what the point of me downloading the new client was when it still bugsplats/freezes when people are banning champs.

I still dont get after all these years they are still having these problems and have yet to fix them.

Old client would just crash, new client will show someone else is banning a champ, freeze at 0, then says you were the one that dodged. I dont know why they havent fixed this yet, especially when people are losing their promos off this. I have lost 2 promos because of this dumb client pre lobby.

I was the people asking for a new client from a game company that earn over 1 billion in revenue since this client was over 4 years old. I keep on seeing people complain about bugs on the new client non stop and this client has been in beta in over maybe 1 year by now? and still it is bug ridden which question who they actually hire for this job to make this new client. It disappoint me as fken hell to see a client in beta in over 1 year and still has problem from day 1. I'm just praying I am not force to update to the new client since Riot said it is almost done.

Riot has said a number of times that work on the new client has been slow and hard, and part of that is that as long as the legacy client is still active they are actually doing double work since they have to update 2 live clients instead of just 1. Thus once the door is finally closed on the legacy client it's full steam ahead on giving the new client full focus. In short making a new client is hard, and getting it running alongside the old client at the same time just means more work for everyone. I don't look forward to using the new client myself (I've only used it a few times for arams and each time I never knew who I had going into a match until the loading screen), but I think we should hold off on verdicts for a while. If it took them a year to get this far, then I say give them till the end of 2017 and see how well this new ship is sailing. And if you REALLLLY don't like the new client, then sadly you have 2 options. Deal with it or just not play league until things are cleared.

They haven't updated anything after that in the Legacy client. Nearly no work done on that since no new features have been added ever since to the Legacy client.

ummm. they have put out the usual patches (on both clients) and kept putting out rotating game modes (some of which have been tweaked over the last few months since they needed said tweaks to work on the new client)

Ummm. You realize in case they release a patch that changes in-game client (map and playing), they do very little work on out-game client (interface for account and starting game). So releasing a patch altering in-game client shouldn't take much time or effort on out-game.

Unless their code is really that bad, which wouldn't surprise me, most things affecting out-game client can be added as simple new files and simple new keywords and the rest should be handled by the core. Adding new skin into line of skins doesn't mean you actually create a brand new code, unless you fucked something up. Usually it needs to add new keyword into register and even some of that work may be done server-side.

As for RGM, most of the things yet again are parts of code already implemented, needing very little work plus most of the modes are already done and they are just being enabled and disabled. It really shouldn't take any work (yet again, unless they screwed up) to enable/disable access to certain queue and yet again, it can be done server-side, even needing no patch what so ever.

And since when is that any extra effort? Patches haven't done anything to the clients. You're saying shipping it to both clients takes extra effort? Maybe one extra button press at best. It's preset to send out to both clients most likely.

RGMs have been on Legacy before the New Client. There's nothing new on that in the Legacy client. If you read what i said, you'd notice that i'm saying the Legacy client hasn't received any special attention like some think it has.

The new client has only been in beta for 5 months, not a full year. I'm pretty sure it hadn't even been put in alpha a year ago.

My client never crashes, so I read these posts and think "you probably have something wrong with your settings" or your machine has failing parts or buggy drivers. I'd look at the event log to see if you are having a memory issue or some other clue as to what's really going on might reveal itself.

Because if it isn't happening to you then it isn't a problem. While I have not had this problem at all, I was experience the grayed out play button bug for a month or so. My computer is new, my internet connection is stable and fast, I run Windows 10---which is unfortunate because it is a piece of garbage, but if everything else checks out the one common denominator is Riot's fancy new client.

Literally nobody I know has had any of these problems. The closest thing we've had is the little bug when the accept button fails to pop up super quickly after the previous one failed.

Several of my friends, with different OS, different machines etc. and quite a few streamers I know had this problem way too many times. I really don't know what Riot is doing with their clients. The client was the worst thing ever before and in the beginning of season 1, but the problems with the client have mostly stayed the same for almost 6 years. There's not a single game or client I know that is as unstable as the Riot's clients. It really feels like they just have 10 chimps sitting in room, working on the client.

I can totally understand when there are problems and bugs, but not if they stay the same for several years, especially when it's about the biggest and most played pc game ever. It's not even like these are special problems with uncommon pc setups, internet settings etc., but they are very common and are part of way too many players daily gaming experience.

My computer runs everything at ulta settings 60 fps, 16 GB RAM, i7-6700 CPU @ 4.00 GHZ, 120 GB SSD, 1 TB HardDrive. I have never had any problems with any game crashing except for League, I dont know why.

Let me chime in with me getting dc'ed in the loading screen.(there's a white box that appears that says that you have been disconnected) I have to log out of the desktop, and then log back into both the desktop(or windows or w/e) and the client.

I've never had bug splats or crashes with the new client. The only thing I've had is a black screen with the store. But that's usually because I've left the client open while putting my computer on sleep mode and all I have to do to fix it is restart the client.

You have got to be kidding me. How dumb can you be to give us this unfinished piece of garbage? What happened to implementing it when it was 100% finished?

Right now its buggy/laggy/slow/and missing features the old client had. A fucking toaster could run League, but now people like me, with actual fucking potatoes for computers are screwed, since there's at least a 6 second delay for every click. I've missed picks and bans because of this new client. I've gotten wait times from how slow champ select is. And dear god the hour long wait to get the after game results is god awful.

I might get down voted to hell but this new client is complete shit compared to the old one, and it's had nearly an entire fucking year of development.

But hey one good thing about it is it now has replays and a sandbox mode.

Actually i posted this because i just got an automatic loss on my series because of it.

Also, if it crashes 2 times a day, thats 21 minutes in waiting for another queue, and about 16 LP lost.

Believe me I feel you. I lost my promos to S5 and my series to S3 because of this. I'm 100% sure I'll have this problem again soon as well.

How hard can it be for them to code in an exception when bugsplat is involved? It's not like you can fake a bugsplat you can't intentionally crash the game the same way a bug would.

Eh but with the new client if you crash while in champ select you can just start the launcher again to join the lobby, as long as you picking face were not over.

I lost 3 games, 2 for LP and 1 in promos because of bugsplat. It turns out that Curse was screening with the client and would crash it.

New client has even more bugs. At least the old one just closed and said "bugsplat" but the new one freezes up and makes me think my PC froze up but everything else runs fine.

If you think that is annoying... try getting the occasional "Your client has detected you probably have corrupted files." when the initial connection to the server does anything odd and then wastes three minutes finding nothing on a repair check giving you a full loss for a remake leaver status.

Used to be if the server did something funky like not let you in... you just quickly killed the client and relogged, losing a minute at most. Still giving time to get to lane. If you even so much as THINK about attempting that with the new client it auto-rollbacks and forces a complete re-download of the latest patch taking even longer.

The same thing just happened to me and I got a 5 different 20 min q timers. Then in champ select, it wouldn't let me pick a champion. It then gave me a 5 min q timer for "declining the q" then another 20 min timer for "leaving" the game. FFS -.-

I had it show in blind pick that another player and I both had yasuo selected to be locked in. I couldn't lock in, or change my champion. I ended up getting kicked out of the queue with a dodge timer.

I can only agree. People banning champions everything is going ok. When it's my turn to pick i get a " you have disconnected do you want to exit instead" window. It happens like 2 times a day. Never had issues like this with the old client. So I keep losing LP and I keep getting 30 minute queue dodge timers because you guys have not been able to program a decent client in over 7 years. I'm so sick of this. How do you expect people to climb the ladder if they can't climb it because of your stupid inadequate software in the first place! And no I don't want to fucking exit during champ select I want to play the fucking game!
