Riot will ignore discussions that request either a full revert or the option of the old HUD.

Riot staff will no doubt only reply to feedback that seeks to improve/tweak the NEW HUD, including general "where is this on the new hud?" posts.

They will NOT however take any action on reverting to the old HUD nor give the option to choose the HUD you want.

Here's why- the company Riot Games spent time and money investing in the development of this new HUD, and the only way from a business sense that the corporation is going to backtrack on this investment is if one or both of these two things happen:

  1. Player numbers drop significantly as a result of the new HUD implementation
  2. Average spend per player (talking Riot point purchases here) decreases significantly as a result of the new HUD implementation

If the above doesn't happen, I hate to say it but Riot as a company could care less how many threads are on the forum giving negative feedback of the new HUD. As an example, there's currently this post that STILL at the time of writing has no Riot response.

When in doubt, never forget that Riot is a company and will typically behave accordingly- regardless of the PR spin we see on here.

And for the record, I despise the new HUD.

Then we're going to have to "boycott" the game by having an organised drop out until they do change it.

Problem is the boards are about as organised as a fucking 13 yr old's room.

You raise good points but Riot's treatment of this issue is far from HUD exclusive. This is how they respond to all negative criticism. Riot as a company is excessively proud and confident of whatever they create yet they're unable to hold any kind of conversation with dissenters. It's almost they're unwilling to respond or something.

I have the utmost confidence that they'll recognize "they need to work on their communication skills" and that they will continue to know what's best for the player base. Look forward to a development blog sometime well past the point of relevance where all further conversation will effectively be stifled.

It's really a nice HUD. I'd rather them tweak it than get rid of it.

For me to like the new HUD, all they need to do is make stats a little larger and remove the stupid tab dark-out effect when you don't see an enemy on the map. Like, why would you make the information I want to see darker? Actually, on that note, the whole "dark gold on dark blue" in the settings/esc menu also could benefit from being lighter.

That's all I'd need to like it. It could be even better with additional tweaks, but that's good enough for me.

That's perfectly fine as long as A. they don't ignore the Fiora ones. and B. they don't ignore the allied portraits being moved back to the left of the screen requests as it's not a full revert. Personally I'd prefer a more customizable UI as a whole though where you can press a key like F12 or something and start dragging the UI parts to where you want them and the shape you want them in.

Because they put a lot of work into it and the majority of people actually like the new HUD. You have to understand the forums represents not even 10% of the people who play League. Not to mention the fact that the new HUD has way more features than the old one ever did. Honestly it's just a matter of getting used to it and discovering the things you can do with it. Give it some times and most people will enjoy the new HUD.

Everything you said is invalided by one thing.
