I'm Here to Vent (sorry in advance)

Now what I came here to talk about is in my opinion the biggest problem that is facing this game. This problem being champions that when are picked are going to be the (very likely) reason why a team wins or loses. Now what do I mean by this? I mean champions that riot has given the ability based upon their kit to have the capacity in a normal situation to take over a fight and 1v3 1v4 or even 1v5. Let me list a few of these champs. Yasuo Fiora MasterYi and I even have to include the one of these champs I would classify in this category that i personally play Gangplank . Now I love gp, he is a very fun champion and as a matter of fact all of these champions are very very fun to play; however, I would trade him in in a heartbeat if these champs were changed to have a more team oriented killing role (as in not able to 1v3, 4 or 5 in a normal situation) or even just taking them out of the game which I know neither of which will happen. Now all of these champions are late game champions that have a questionable early game, but there are a lot of champions that have this tendency of being late game champions that I did not place on this list. The reason being that champions like KogMaw Nasus Veigar Graves Jinx although are very late game oriented champs, they are massively punished for being out of position. Where as the champions listed prior have the insane late game as well as forgiveness when out of position such as an ability that blocks everything, a .3 sec dash with a windwall, a targeted ability that allows for most everything to be dodged, and a heal that is an in kit qss. I don't mind these abilities in themselves, but in combination with the nature that the kits these champs possess, I think at the very least it is unhealthy for champions like this to single-handedly decide how a game turns out. Now i will get one of two responses from this both negative and rightfully so because I'm bitching, but a quick rebuttal for both.

  1. Stop bitching

rebuttal- I will do my best, I've had a bad day and maybe I should bottle up any complaints I have about the game and just understand that riot does their best to make as fair and balanced of a game as possible. Maybe with a little bias, but that's impossible not to have.

2.Why don't you just play these champions yourself if they are so game breaking or game deciding or able to 1v3, 1v4, or 1v5. If that were the case then wouldn't everyone play these champions all the time and be hot fixed because this is such an epidemic? You also said these champions are very very fun to play. So isn't it even rewarding to play these champions so that you could gain elo and have loads of fun playing? Sounds like some salty bullshit to me.

rebuttal- I must confess something that there is a fairly high skill requirement that is involved with these champions, some of them higher than others, but overall these champions are on the grand scale of champions are in the top 20% of champs. That being said a huge reason I don't really play these champs that much is the fact that they bring upon a large amount of stress when playing them. You immediately have a target placed on your back and rightfully so. It's like being a jungler. It's polarizing, sometimes you get fucked by the enemy team and sometimes you just squeak by and then tear the game apart. I must admit I'm not a robot, I can't handle the stress of actually becoming a full time main for one of these champions. It would kill me or make me cynical. Now there is something to be said about winning at all cost, but that would come at a fairly slow rate, maybe have a 53% win rate over maybe 100 games or so to get anywhere. Now in the end that might look pretty balanced but I assure you it is not. This is because every time you load up a game and you lock in one of these champions you become 70-80% of the reason why your team wins or loses. And that in my opinion is the antithesis of balance, which is why I think this is of the utmost importance that this matter is attended to. No matter how you feel about this in the end this is something that has personally bothered me. And Im platinum 4 right now and have been playing since season 3 if that matters.

Excuse me for being nitpicky, but you IMO, forgot one of the champs in your 1v5 list.

Illaoi (She ults, and if the enemy team isn't smart, can win with almost impunity.)

Sorry man, but the only thing I took away from this entire post was this perplexing thought: Why does he crash planes?

ADHD and lots of text defeated me.

Master yi has a high skill cap? I must have missed something.

No master yi's issue is that his ult makes him immune to slows and his q gives him great chase while allowing him to avoid damage from abilities. Back in the day when people played supports with real peel, this was less of an issue.

yasuo, fiora, and yi all have something in common by the way. The build life steal and lifesteal tank until they've killed your entire team. Build an executioners calling and take exhaust.

you know what the funny part about this rant is? it actually contains factual truth in it. yes These champions scale dangerously into the lategame (fiora imo can already fuck up the midgame) and they require a variety of Skill and indepth (yi with his W-AA reset and Q timers and rightclick dodges, fiora with her W timing and her Q positioning, yasuo with his dashing and Snowballing and gp with barrel placement) but i think the main reason that makes These champions so frustratingly carry-like is the fact how idiotically strong they scale with crits.

now the one or the other might look at me like "but fiora has no crits" well look at her E, while her first E aa cant proc crits at all, her 2nd E AA has a GARUANTEED CRIT which in the early is nerfed but it is really just like a talon Q but easier to hit, and it scales with infinity edge too. making her initially being able to proc a full crit AA with all this aa and possibly armor pen too, combine that with her passive true damage that scales with ad and you have a crit Monster that makes you kiss her sword like it is a dick.

having said that, all These 4 champions have an insane crit that can decade the game's entire fate, master yi with his Q crits can only be rivalled by a GP who builds 5x infinity edge and a trindy force and hits with the barrel, and even then yi's crit Q can hit youby garuantee unless you time perfectly a stasis like zhonyas or bards ultimate to cancel the damage alltogether. yasuo gets 100% crits from just 2 items, gangplank barrels have an innate 40% armor pen which can proc crits too making Things like a 2k crit on malphite almost common and fiora i just explained it

the reason These 4 champions can 1v5 is because they make the very combination that adc's have Problems with not only possible but viable. full crits ANS full armor Penetration with the possibilty of even going decently tanky aswell. and they all have an innate addition that helps them escape troublesome situations. Yi has his ultimate that cancels any light cc like slows, yasuo has a windwall that cancels any projectiles with the exception of lasers like vel and lux ult and viktor E assuming his laser starts behind the wall, gp has an innate QSS that heals him harder the less hp he has and fiora has a Counter that negates everything in the entire game, even ignite, and can also stun the enemy if they hit her with any cc while said Counter procs.

true to their word These champions are hard to successfully pull out but once you do learn them there is nothing in this world that can deny them their rightful throne as hardcarry Monsters.
