GLP got nerfed maybe a little bit too hard.
So with the mage item update coming today, GLP seems to be in the worst place by a very very long shot. Let's go over the buffs and nerfs and see if something stands out.
Buffs: +200 range on active. +20% CDR (10% of which is unique.) (From 0% CDR to 20% CDR) +100 Mana. (From 400 mana to 500 mana) Slow duration increased by 0.5 seconds (From 0.5 seconds to 1.0 second.)
Nerfs: Eternity passive removed. -300 Health. (From 300 HP to 0 HP) Damage lowered from [100 - 200] to [75 - 150.] AP ratio lowered from 35% to 20%. Slow on active reduced by 25% (From 65% to 40%) Active no longer travels through enemies. Missile speed of active lowered by 400 units per second. (From 2000 u/s to 1600 u/s) Cone of active decreased by 10 degrees. Cast animation returns/remains. (This might be a bug, it kinda re-appeared randomly with no PBE notes.)
All of this on an already heavily underused item. I saw
build it and literally no one else, besides a few times I wanted to try it. So yeah, two champions total, one of which is being reworked the same patch and might not even want it anymore.
My prediction is GLP will have a pick rate to rival

to compensate the lack of health/eternity. I really don't think GLP is going to be able to keep up with
