Possible JG Item Improvement

Anyone remember that there used to be a JG Item that gave wards but had to be removed because no one in pro play took the other two Smites? What if we revised that and added it to the current JG items. Neither of them have an activated ability. It could go something like this:

Hunter's Quest -Gain 1 Gold per 10 Seconds (half of a support item) while in the jungle. -Gain 10 Gold per camp taken from enemy jungle. -Gain 25 Gold per Neutral Objective taken (10 Gold for Crab). -Quest: After earning 500 Gold with this question gain "Hunter's Vision" -Hunter's Vision functions identical to the support items "Warding" function.

Not only would this give incentives for the JG to counter-jungle and to prioritize objectives but would also allow for much better map control and result in more skirmishes over enemy camps (which Riot seems to want more action earlier).

The numbers could be messed with some for balance purposes of course but I think this would greatly improve gameplay for a lot of people and give you more incentive to play properly as this would lead to more games won if you did.

so basically bring back Tracker's Knife, but make you have to work for it by farming the jungle, and not have you sacrifice an empowered smite for it?

...I'm not sure how I feel about that. While I do miss Tracker's Knife (it was my favorite of the jungle items), that item was aids in games where people used vision well and it did next to nothing where people didn't pay attention to the map (if your champion didn't have ward jumps, like Jax or Lee Sin, that is).

Well, sadly it cannot fix bad players but it can help put vision up so you can ping that someone is coming, etc. Only Riot can fix trolls but we can easily do our best to make our teammates lives a little better.

I like it. Also seems to reward a little more jungle farming early game. I can't really think of a reason why this wouldn't be a good interaction. I think the wards needs to be maybe half the amount that the support item gives, and it'd be good.

I cannot think of any reason for it not to be added either. Vision is good for the game, not bad. And this does not punish people wanting different play styles either. It rewards variety, which is good in every game. :)
