so I dodge because someone bans the champ I wanted to play nad I get a 30 minute penalty? riot is such a good company

Play other champs. Don't be a child just because someone bans, purposely or not, the champ you want to play. I get it, we've all had those streaks where a new champ comes out and you get 5 teammates in a row that all clamber for the champ, get the champ and then feed their face off. So in the 6th game you just ban the champ even though one of your teammates wants.

Shit happens, don't get butthurt over it. Riot does the best they can, if you didn't have that rule in place you'd have people dodging left and right and the Q times would soar, and then you'd be on here bitching about long queue times.

i could play another champ but that's not the champ I wanna play...I want x champ and am not in the mood for a different one.the only reason I made the post is because I got a 30 minute timer and the last game I dodged(surprise surprise was because someone banned my champ) was fucking yesterday

edit:and tbh id rather play the champ I'm comfortable on than play someone I'm not so comfortable on

If you have a 30min dodge timer that means you dodge a fuck ton. Ive never had above 5min and ive played since S2.

You didnt HAVE to dodge. you chose to dodge because a champion you wanted to play was banned. Play something else. Even if you arent AS comfortable. Also if you are dodging because 1 champ gets banned and you arent comfortable enough that means you need to improve your champ pool.

it was in promos so I couldn't just play someone I'm not that comfortable on. especially since the role I was in was a secondary role and no one wanted to switch

You are not ready to play ranked. Go back to Normal or vs. AI and learn a few more champs.

You do realize there is a ban system for a reason right? You are essentially saying there should be no ban system because if a champ any of the 10 people want to use is banned they should dodge.

Your champ is banned so you dodge. Instead of having multiple champs you can use decently to choose in such a scenario.

Imagine if everyone had the same mindset. Games would take forever to start due to the amount of people dodging when the champ they wanted was banned or selected. Most people just select another champ they learned to play in normals or vs. AI so they can continue.

I play other champs..but atm I wasn't practiced up on all of them so when the one I cn play got banned and no one wanted to switch so I could have my main role I dodged..id rather take the free loss then play a champ I'm not that good on and feed and be in a bad mood because I fed and take a loss

You lost and never gave it a shot. That is worse than trying your best and losing.

Not to mention if you play safe you won't be feeding very much. At the very least you can keep an enemy champ occupied trying to get you as you play it safe and slowly farm.

Instead you got a loss, 30 minute ban, and you wasted the time of everyone else who were waiting for queue and then waiting for bans to be selected.
