Do you actually think that helps? How is going into a mode where the targets let you free hit them whenever you want going to teach me anything? how am I supposed to learn how to play lanes with my champ against something that cant even think? I could read the ability description on the champ page and thats the full extent of what bots teach you. If im learning a new champ im going into normals where I can test what I can and cant do with a champ against real people so fuck off

You're wrong, bots teach you anything you need. You'll see it when I'll bring my full mana Garen out in ranked! (It's so broken, I always get fed against bots!)

I mean. I still use bots for the very first time on a champion, and a lot for learning jungle pathing.

They're decent to practice a combo on or to learn the feel of a champion, if not much more than that.

Bots is the only place where I can pretend I'm good at Yasuo.

If you think you can't work on your mechanics and learn your champion in bots. You're wrong.

... and that is just the answer.

  • Don't know the champions kit, and you haven't bothered reading it yet? --> GO PLAY BOTS
  • Don't know the basic, advanced combos or jungle clear of a champion? --> GO PLAY sandbox
  • Still feeling insecure about playing a champ fluidly? --> Play normals

When you check these 3 boxes, go play that shit in ranked, ty very much.

Hmmm... Ashe item 3075 really works, I got so fed against the bots. Riot sure makes good tutorials! I'm ready to one trick Ashe now.

I honestly don't think that playing norms helps much. Normal matches are usually so lax that you get very little feel for the champion. Maybe 1 in 25 normal games really help you and that is being generous. When I want to learn a new champion I play 1 to 3 games in normal and then try it out in ranked. Ranked is really the only way to learn imo.
