I do NOT want more bans, here's why:

First off, we all know how many constant threads there are about "omg, only like 15 champions were played at worlds. what amazing diversity". Now, finally, there are many different champions to choose from that are strong, and people want more bans. Why? its not because there are over 110 champions to pick from, NO, its because with all of these champions, there are more strong ones that present threats. I like the current ban limit, because now even with six bans, they're are still a large multitude of champions we can choose from on both sides.

My point is, six bans lets us get rid of the champions we really just dont want to play with/agaisnt, and they're are still plenty of good ones we can choose from. this is GOOD. People need to stop complaining about needing more bans because there are so many more champions that are ban worthy, because this is more positive then negative.

I don't think we should go overboard with more bans, but I really do think that 4 per team is necessary now. Just one more, 'all I ask for.

I'm also quite frustrated at the response of 'pros will get banned out'. Nah, you know why that shouldn't be a big deal? They should learn how to play more than like 2 or 3 fucking champions for their role. I'd give them a lot more respect as 'pros' if they actually know how to do consistently well with a handful of champions.

I thought that was a qualification of pro players; to be able to actually play a solid group of champs per role, instead of the 1, 2 champs that are in meta that steamroll everybody.

'Solid group' to them could simply be 2 or 3. I mean, they do probably KNOW how to play like half a dozen mid laners (for example), but if X and Y aren't banned out, they WILL play them over their other choices due to the meta. And that's really fucking boring to me. I barely bother with the LCS anymore because there's no surprise to it. The same damn champions over and over, then we get a meta shift, then other groups of the same champions over and over.

Give pro teams another ban, and see how their strategies change. That would spice up the LCS SO GODDAMN MUCH, but the cynical half of me thinks that it'll never go through. Pros do their jobs for money, and if something threatens that, they obviously won't agree to it.

If Riot wants diversity, this is a starting point. Because at the start of Season 5, I see very little diversity from the previous season. Summoner's Rift looks great, cool. Drag and Baron do different things now, cool. WE GOT DA WITTLE CRAB IN THE RIVERS. Cool. But the champ diversity? I'm not seeing it.

Actually, for viewing purposes, I'd like to see fan-based bans. Have the two teams ban it out, but then let fans decide on another set of bans. Personally, while this would mostly be used to mess with one or two guys per match, I'd love to see it used to guide certain matchups.

That won't happen tho, there will be two outcomes if that's implemented.

The fans will all troll and ban trash-tier champs and nothing changes.

The fans actually ban champs and the pros start whining that they never get to play what they want to play, so Riot takes it out after a split.

Riot HAS to cater to the pros, which is the sad part. If the pros leave because they're not getting their way, then Riot has to hope that another season of pros rise up, or they lose out on LCS coverage. They lose that, they lose marketing for their game. That's money. And no business in America can stand losing money.

Now, I don't know the pro league enough to know if any of them are prone to whining if their favorite champs get banned, but I do know that it is a long shot. The fans also banning trash-tier champs is a large possibility just to keep the "BIG PLAY$" champs around, which would suck. But I think that an outside force making these decisions with some more bans at least offers the possibility of some variation on the picks.

I would like the "team effort" vibe that would come with 5 bans per team. And, as you say, there are still plenty of champs. This lets everyone have a say in which champs are banned, and keeps everyone engaged during ban phase.
