As a general rule of thumb: champions that have amazing AA DPS won't be able to use their AA enhancements to damage towers, where champions with lacking AA DPS generally often can. Nasus can demolish towers with Siphoning Strike because he's a tanky DPS champion that would simply be tanky vs. towers, where Vayne's Tumble doesn't work on towers because she's massive AA DPS against everything due to her build path.
