The Player Behavior & Moderation section is straight cancer

It's basically where all the people who got suspended/banned who are trying to tell their side of the story, who get shut down by the same toxicity that got them banned.

Everyone assumes that since you got banned, you're some kind of monster who can only say and do wrong. It's also ironic as fuck how toxic/offensive/insulting you are to them. Like oh you've never been toxic (apparently there are different levels of toxic ranging from "kys" to passive aggressive chatter") in your life ever.

No wonder the game is at such a shitty state where people are continuing to be toxic because when they post about their ban to find out why they got banned you guys just spit out biased comments that infuriates them even more. And you wonder why lol is so toxic.

Moral of the story, try to respond to threads unbiased as possible and try not to have the "oh you got banned, everything you say is a lie, and you deserve to die" attitude.

My advice for responding to people that are jerks about it on the boards is exactly the same as my advice for responding to people that are jerks in game; Don't.

???

If someone got banned, they deserved it.

It is extremely unlikely their ban was undeserved. The system had a 1/6000 chance of error when it first started. It is much more refined now.

Barely anyone gets punished in the first place. Even if they were one of those erroneous punishments, the error wasn't even between whether they deserved it or not. It was between severity of the ban. 14-day versus permaban, things like that. But permabans are handled manually as well, so the chance of an accidental permaban is even lower.

End of story.

Agreed.

The most frequent posters, who I guarantee you are children, here:

  • Say they are against being toxic but at the same time say "I hope you get banned"

  • Get off on seeing other people get in trouble.

  • Use passive aggressive "but you should know better" stuff to make themselves look good and make others look bad.

  • Abuse the scoring system and revenge downvote so that nothing but obvious stuff and the once a month odd case gets above a +1 score.

I try to be unbais! Sometimes people just get sick of the same old excuses. I cannot stand people who need to write every excuse in the book when the only person they should be blaming is themselves! Yes we all get toxic a little bit sometimes people take it too far. Some things shouldn't be said in this game!

It also annoying when people claim they weren't toxic, never shows their chatlogs then go on a tirade to all the responses in their thread which basically justifies their punishment but then will claim that everyone in the thread who is trying to help is the ones that are toxic.

Overall it's just common sense! Treat people the way you want to be treated and you'll never get punished. People need to take responsibility for their actions. Be civil people here want to help. Heck we all want a better community but when we go against each other will eventually come to our downfall!

Also shout out to Deep Terror Nami who seems to be the only level headed person on here although I tend to disagree with some of the things he believes.

The League of Legends community not being completely biased in everything they say?

Madness! League of Legends isn't the kind of Adults Table where people are mature enough for that! Look, I'm even being bias right now! Madness!

Really though, this community has gone to hell over the years.

It's always pretty lame how people react to anything critical of riots punishment system, and how people here believe every ban in history has been 100% reasonable and justified.

Even stating objective facts here will get you downvoted if it suggests Riots system isn't perfect. Pointing out that they use a 100% automated system, or the fact that they ban people based on chat logs with virtually no context, will get you downvoted and people telling you you're wrong.

There's also the perception here that anyone who was ever banned is super toxic and must have told other people to kill themselves, are racist, or other super toxic behaviors.

At the same time, I notice a lot of regulars on here who literally find the smallest offense to justify something. I've been lurking and posting on this forum for years - it's always the same crap. I consistently see unfair punishments only to have the regulars here circle jerk over something small the offending player may have done, which still may not warrant the punishment.

Regulars who will find the smallest thing wrong with a case and declare the player should be banned, and a bunch of toxic children who shit post here. God, this forum is garbage.

Just my two cents, I'm sure the regulars will find this thread and this comment will be downvoted to oblivion, nothing new here.

I try to be straight, but some people are just itching for that escalation. I do report the worst cases of unhelpful people.

I try to be honest as my ultimate goal. I will flat out say what they did wrong and why it was so. If they interpret that as insulting or belittling, then that's on them.

Sometimes I do get a bit carried away with sarcasm, usually as a result of the person insulting me or just denying what other arbiters/knowledgeable parties have to say

Why should anyone be nice to those types of players? What they should do is get rid of the 25 game chat restrict and move right into bans quicker for these ELO sinking soft skull kids.

Though I do not agree with the words you're using :

you guys just spit out biased comments

I've noticed that too. It reminds me a lot of people calling others "kids" while thinking it makes them the adults. No, if you're an adult I doubt that making fun of "kids" is a very mature thing to do.

I can't speak for everyone, but generally most of the regulars around here try to start out posts by being respectful, but when the poster shows that they're only interested in yelling and raging at those who don't or won't give them the Yesman answers that they want it's hard not to call them out on their behavior, as more often than not the poor behavior that they're showing on the boards is also the same kind of behavior that got them punished in the first place.

This is also especially true for known forum trolls who just go around spouting nonsense and intentionally trying to spread misinformation as some sort of payback for being punished for their own poor behavior. When they do that then we're gonna call them out on it.

For me personally I try to state what I need to say and also try to back up what I say with sources as well also. If people don't want to listen then that's their problem, not mine.

Bottom Line: If you want help then be respectful to those that are trying to help you out. We're not here to tell you what you want to hear, but rather what you need to hear instead. If you don't like it then that's fine, but behaving like a little kid will only show and prove to others that your punishment was deserved.

Great answer! I'm no longer a regular anywhere but when posters are outright nasty they should be called on it! I'm getting to the point where I believe that smurf accounts are getting out of hand and giving bad information.

Why is anyone allowed to use more then one account on here, unless extenuating circumstances ? Then the poster should be honest and admit that they are using an alt.

I only use one account on here and never will use another to sway opinions, why should it be different for an honest person then "some" who admit they use ult accounts/'friends' to sway/change or get away with things those of us who don't or won't !

KORGtuners (NA) - about 3 hours ago You are clueless. Never had a single argument. Now resorting to name calling. The irony is, the same system you are trying to defend would ban you for the way you are talking to me.

News flash, freedom doesn't mean everyone will not be a decent human being. Decent human beings are decent regardless.

I pity you. You need some one forcing you to behave. Go join the military. Or maybe become a monk. I don't know what else you could do; but you clearly can not handle freedom and need strict regulations to function as a human being.

KORGtuners...

I believe you are just plain wrong !

KORGtuners (NA) submitted about a year ago in Miscellaneous "This type of behavior is unacceptable in this community. When there is nothing good to say, don't say anything at all.

Should type and enter by this statement! good luck though :(
