A Question About Minion Waves.

Okay, so you know those times when you're doing random stuff and you glance at your minimap and realize that there's a massive minion wave in a side lane, even though no one was pushing?

Yeah, how does that happen, and how do I manipulate this to happen in my favor?

i think you kill the first 3 minions and leave the back 3 alone and your wave will keep killing theirs and pile up

It's killing the last three, not first three.

Minion waves snowball really hard. A wave with 7 minions vs a wave with 6 will kill the minions faster, resulting in more alive minions for the next wave. Now its 8 vs 6, then 10 vs 6, and eventually the lane is being steamrolled by 18+ creeps.

The best way to manipulate this is to force your wave into the enemy tower so that A. the enemy gets denied creeps (your creeps die to their tower) B. When you come back to lane the wave would have snowballed back to you and there will be a lot of creeps left.

Primarily realize that the ranged minions are squishier and do more damage. Killing them first will highly push a wave.
