Is there Any Point in playing ranked until the start of the new season?

sort of. you'll only get to keep some of what you gain. I imagine we'll be getting another soft reset:

Upon finishing Season 5 placement: (current elo + 1200) / 2 = new rank placement.

Honestly, i'd hold off on ranked. Spam normals and get used to the new items we get.

I've been wondering this myself. Currently would ranked still bring you down or up when you lose/win games? Also I've been wondering when the next patch comes. Cant find any information, since season 4 ended (ranked wise) I feel like we're in down time between post season and pre-season.
