Fizz/Irelia are completely broken, and nobody is ever willing to spend 800g vs Swain.
I'd add Maokai there too, but he's more team reliant and I very rarely see a Maokai solo carry a game.
depends on what you need. damage or utility. for damage. you probably want 
for utility 
the thing about darius. is that he forces you to focus him. because if he gets his blood stacks in a team fight. he will hurt your team. a lot. pentakill your team kind of hurt. however you can somewhat ignore other melee carries. and the usually have to intiaiate going closer to you and have to build more damage than just a black cleaver
