Why doesn't Electrocute work on Vel'koz?

If I'm being honest with you, I'm glad it doesn't work because he can already erase squishies with an accurate w-e combo when ahead and he doesn't need anymore burst. But why doesn't it work? If you land w-e, the person takes damage from 3 different abilities: his w, his e, then his w again and his passive.

Edit: I'm saying why won't his passive damage proc it? Bard passive procs it. I understand that w-e-w is only two spells so it won't count but his passive is a third effect.

Try weaving in an auto-attack in between abilities " Hitting a champion with 3 separate attacks or abilities within 3 seconds deals bonus adaptive damage"

You missed the point.

The double damage proc from W does not count as two seperate attaks/abilities - just like several procs from MF Make It Rain or Morgana Tormented Soil do not count more than one.

Yes but w-e-passive should, shouldn't it? Or does it consider passive as part of w?

That sounds reasonable. I'm not sure but I thought the passive activation of Lux also counted towards a stack so that Q+Auto or E+Auto was already enough for it to proc. I don't own Vel'Koz otherwise I'd jump into practice tool to test it.

That's certainly odd. I just tested it on PBE, and it doesn't. If I had to guess, it's that since his passive applies on spell damage, it get's considered as spell damage for the purpose of Electrocute, like how Lux passive just gets counted as one damage source from her autos.

His passive isn't an ability, though.

Would the difference between his and Bard's is that Bard's has a cooldown and a window of availability?

Have you tried hitting with 3 abilities?

Beached Manatee1 votes

It certainly works with 3 abilities, but I was talking about using the passive proc as one

Ah, well if it's any consolation it doesn't work if malz uses q to reapply malefic visions either :P

Beached Manatee1 votes

Because it doesn't reapply it. It refreshes the duration.
