"Heimerdinger Has Counters"

How do you deal with Heimerdinger? "His turrets do the damage, so take them out first" Then he can just stun-grenade you while you're AAing and combo in a Q or an ult. "Gank him early" Plenty are too weak early game to make effective ganks, especially with those turrets and CC, but leaving him alone just lets him free farm into a strong mid game. "Pick ranged champions" We can't all be ADCs. "Pick a one-shot champion" I want to have fun sometimes, not try hard. Go to Norms? That's where I am.

"You're just salty about a match with Heimerdinger" ...Yes, that's sort of how complaining spawns with any champion.

Here's a better question to ask--can you enjoy a game against Heimerdinger? It's not that I want a counter or a good tip--if it's not Ranked, I just want to play a game for fun from time to time, you know? Not worry about counterpicks and stuff like that? Try out new champions? Just go AD Soraka or ADC Thresh for the hell of it? But how is that possible against a champion that shits on your fun?

I haven't faced a heimer in weeks but I would say the best thing to do is to just try your best to farm in lane and then outscale him or roam since he is weak without his turrets and cannot follow up. Most of the times I have seen heimer they usually crush laning phase but lose when the teamfights and skirmishes start if he hasn't set up his turrets yet.

Ranged isnt only ADC. Ziggs, vel'koz, xerath, syndra, any mage with good poke can take the turrets out faster than he can deploy them. Also his stun is one of the smallest easiestto dodge in the game.

Just cause you wanna go full melee into him doesnt mean he has no counters cause countering is "tryhard"

if you suck at laning against mages

if you suck at picking junglers that can actually have some early presence

Enough excuses. Do what you need to do or don't. If getting your ass handed to you is fun then you accept your strategy if any has weaknesses and you keep doing that

Its not hiemerdingers fault that your idea of "fun" is being nonviable

I find Aurelion Sol to be good against him. I just kill his turrets as soon as he spawns them, and dodge his rockets and stuns.

I agree, Syndra should work wonders vs Heimer (your turrets? No boy, these are MY turrets).

Another notable pick I think should be mentioned is Fiddlesticks. I've happened to play 2v1 Fiddle top vs 2 Heimers in One For All, and was surprised to see just how effective that was: pre 6 you farm what you can and poke with E, post 6 Fiddle can gank other lanes well, and if that is not possible his ult is still very effective for clearing waves, turrets, and Heimers.

Heim is champ you deal with later, if you are fighting a Heim mid, go wander for kills, Heim can't take his turrents with him.
