Lux's passive

why does Lux's passive support getting close within danger zone to proc them? Lux is all about range and utility, then you give her a passive then can only be procd with her ult or an aa, you gave a long ranged mage a short range passive which seems very dumb. can you make lux's passive be procd by allied champions? that's gonna help her support.

Lux's passive undermines her strengths. That's not a good form of counterplay, it just makes her awkward.

And even if it was she's already an immobile squishy with 4 skillshots.

But I don't think letting it be procced easily would be a good way of solving that, because it would make her too strong. Lux's total damage potential is quite high, but her current combo is extremely clunky because of her passive. Removing that gives her long range high damage and good utility. I'd rather have it replaced by either pushing her towards APC with a smoother damage mechanic or towards support with a blind/vision granting ability.

I completely agree. Any champion should be able to proc her passive.

she can with autos tho its not that complicated

I guess you didn't read the OP at all. It's a stupid passive for Lux since she is a poke champ. The passive makes her proc it from short range.

making her full range is bad design and im not saying she should be melee range im saying that them making her have to get into risky range to proc extra damage allows for counter play which is good champion design

Well, that is a possibility. But she already has to get in AA range at early levels due to her being mana gated.

thats kind of every champioon with mana in her role tho...

The point of her passive is so she has to get in retaliation range to use it, so she has some risk for her damage.

I'll buy your argument once Riot nerfs all passives to exploit the champion weakness.

So she can have high burst or safety, not both.

Ziggs Xerath also have passives that promote going into auto range.

because then it allows counter play "you want that extra damage then you are gonna have to make the choice of getting in risky range to proc"

its kind of like xreath in terms of an extreme example he has all this huge long range so the question is how do you even get a chance oh by making his passive which if you didnt know gives mana when he auto attacks thats when you jump on him

and with lux its the same basic concept how can i use her weaknesses which every champ needs they both need a balance of strengths and weaknesses luxs weakness would be her risky passive procing and her lack of mobility and besides its easy to get procs if you can land your binds :)

difference is, xereth's passive tends to fall off late game but Lux's passive is at its strongest at late game, Xereth only uses his passive to get mana back while lux's passive is one of the main sources of damage

difference is, xeraths is to make up for his high mana costs. lux's is to increase her trading a bit. both make them weaker because they make you want to go into auto range.

The real question is why does ILLUMINATION and SUNLIGHT from Lux and Leona not give vision while MOONLIGHT from Diana gives vision?

Sometimes.... you shouldn't think so hard about these things... ;)
