Does anyone else feel this way about runes and support changes?

They actually made fewer options.

In their quest to make more options they have actually removed more choices.

Cool, I can have interesting options like Stopwatch and Free boots and slightly stronger early game damage or really all in on late game damage...etc etc. But wait, champion pool and item builds are actually LESS FLEXIBLE!?!?

The agency in this game is so highly stacked onto certain items and certain champs that it's honestly kind of silly. We should not be selecting champions based on how well they abuse certain items or certain runes...or at least not the vast vast majority of the time. Runes need to be weak enough and champ kits need to be strong enough that our characters can stand on their own two legs.

Healthy game: I'm gonna pick Rengar because they have low CC and their only heal/shield is coming from Nami W.

Unhealthy game: I'm gonna pick Rengar no matter what they have cuz Duskblade and Electrocute are both just real strong right now.

To be honest I feel like the new runes have actually increased the pool of viable supports. The only problem with that is that they are highly unusual supports that need way more coordination and probably a duo partner.
