Why Nerf Shaco?
For a while after the Assassin update, I felt the damage of Shaco was dulled down dramatically in all of its abilities. Through the reworked changes, many Shaco mains either tried to go Ap, Bruiser, or just completely gave up on the champion. The Q is not as useful as before because of the cooldown nerf, the E had reworked to an execute that literally did no damage in the early game, and all his damage was split out evenly into his kit. The passive was also nerfed to where only his basic attacks from behind had a critical where the old passive gave all his damage a increase when attacking from behind.
With all these changes and having most damage come by building AP, the assassin that was so fun to play as took less skill and brains to play. For example: The Q when maxed has a 4.5 second invis and before it was 3 seconds. This made the skill become total braindead as even a child could assassinate or escape with this much time. Having Shaco become a tank is viable but that would just follow the footsteps of Fizz and Ekko that became notorious for being obnoxious but was put down to the ground by Rito. Shaclone, who used to build ad now has to build tanky and just have a constant dps to kill the ADCs.
If Riot decides to be fine with this, I would also say all these nerfs would be fine but if they don't want to let the champion be played this way and still nerfs shaco, Riot is just digging a deeper hole for the champion until it becomes completely useless. Another suggestion would be to lower the Q's invis and buff more of the base damage of shaco since mostly of its power came from items and the abilities were just for support.
