I can't bear this leathlity meta any longer

Being the low-elo-terrible mechanics silver player I am, I abuse braindead tanks in the top lane. No meta ever significantly affected my gameplay, as tanks would typically hold up in any meta. However, this lethality meta has been challenging for me, and since I don't have the mechanics and the time to learn the pool of champions that abuse lethality(Most of them are difficult, except Pantheon I guess), I've been performing quite poorly over the past two patches. Now I present to you one of many situations that inspired me to create this rage post:

An 0/3 Riven will confront me, a 2/0 nautilus. With even cs, I engage on her. I turn on my w and use e, saving my ult for when she decides to back out with her mobility. Suddenly, as if I didn't have over 200 armor with my Sun fire and Ice born, the Riven shreds me with her basic all-in combo forcing me to flash q away.

So, if you are one those salty tank mains that cant do much against lethality(Might me only me since I'm pretty bad) please up vote.

Playing tanks feel pretty bad IMO. It's usually pretty difficult to get ahead in lane and sometimes even being even in lane isn't good enough when items like item 3142 item 3147 item 3814 wreck tanks early game (well, everyone to be honest), item 3071 wreck tanks mid game, and item 3036 /item 3033 wreck tanks late game.

Tanks seem to only be strong against poor team compositions that either have a lot of AP, little CC, or are uncoordinated.

The meta at the moment seems to be very "kill or be killed" oriented which is frustrating.

I remember playing a game yesterday or the day before. We had a Maokai, and they had like 3 assassins aka item 3814 item 3147 item 3142 players. I thought, "no biggie", he can still front line. Nope, he was merely another squishy.
