SONA NERFS????
It's not even been a week since the new runes came out and they already have nerfs for a champion and no less it's Sona... Okayyy..

Meddler has publicly stated on more than one occasion that he has a personal deep-seated despise for the champion. He will fabricate any excuse, manipulate any propaganda at a chance to nerf her, despite knowing she's been the weakest support in the game since patch 4.13 and still is to this day. His words, not mine.
It doesn't matter what the community wants. After patch 4.13, the community demanded a revert or buffs, Fearless & Meddler gave her nerfs. People called Fearless out on the shadow nerfs he made to Sona, he undid less than half, then nerfed her. This chaos of a new preseason and the shitty initial incarnation of runes (masteries) further distracting bronze players from the realization that their mouse has a right-click function & directly artificially inflating her winrate is Meddler's wet-dream excuse to nerf Sona for somewhere around the 50th or 60th time in this game's history, if my math is correct off-hand.
Personally, I think this is the perfect opportunity for both Sona-lovers and Sona-haters to unite in a single cause to have patch 4.13 reverted and Fearless fired from Rito Game. Maybe I'm asking for too much though, League and Rito has too many Sona-haters for us to be able to unite that way...

I wonder if it's because she has pre-nerf janna levels of winrate RN.
If her winrate is super high then I won't argue, I'm just a little nervous about the manner in which they're nerfing her. Her W is already the worst sustain/shield in the game until items with its trash values and high cost, and she's already the squishiest champion in the game, and they made her even squishier, which already has felt like trash.
Basically what I'm worried is that these nerfs won't do enough to please them and it'll just lead to additional, harsher nerfs elsewhere.
Also I hope that they plan on nerfing more than just Sona, since she feels far from the only problem (coughEzrealKleptomancycough)
Sona is a low skill curve champion with 3 aoes, a free lich bane and a "skillshot" aoe stun. with what ~60% wlr, shes too good right now, her damage prior to the preseason was oppressive, now that ads dont have any mr on runes, they get 1 combo'd at lvl 4, its a problem.
- It's been 3 days. A week is 7.
- Her and Yorick are two they said they think are strong and are looking at.
Sona is a skill free champion that was chunking for 80% at level 1 w/ comet....
So yeah, she got nerfed, FINALLY!
I just hope that after they give everyone MR again they will revert the nerf.
Reason why Sona is so dominant now isn't her heal but damage and the fact that meta sheeps haven't adjusted yet.
There is no coincidence that the best ADC champions right now are Ezreal and Corki - they both mainly using abilities and their abilities are doing AP damage. Nobody has MR now and even though AP champions are now missing some MPen from runes their damage is still about 150% higher than used to be. And Sona is a support with highest AP damage and AP scalings. Since everyone still continues to play adc+support she becomes dominant. It is also because her abilities are so realiable - no skillshots only range. If players were picking Lux or Veigar into support they could dominate as much as sona, except the team will lack shielding which is what makes Sona so special - you basically have both legit AP carry and support in single champ now. But again, its the magic resist issue and if they give MR back to all champs as I expect the nerf would need to be reverted.
Also the mana regen rune seems to be too strong. Sona can now spam abilities much harder than before. But not just Sona...
Either way, I will still gonna spam her in every role and play her AP carry as they nerfed the wrong ability anyway and the few less AD on aa doesn't matter.
gg they nerf Sona and not Rakan..... if ADC new who to focus 1st.... Sona is very squishy as is
