IVERN (What is Happening?)

So there's been a lot of talk about Ivern being OP. Sure, when you look at the numbers, his win rate is very high. But his pick rate is at an all-time low. Ivern isn't like other junglers: He's a support. Many people who want to pick up Ivern to bask in that sweet sweet freelo end up dropping him because he's very hard.

As well as this, Ivern is very easily played against. All you have to do is catch him at one of your buffs at the start of the game. That's it. His first clear is ruined. I relate him to Shaco: if you fuck up his early game, you can farm him late game.

Here's why people tend to think Ivern is OP:

• Almost effortless camp stealing if he's not contested
• Lots of CC
• His buildpaths are virtually limitless
• His core items are cheap
• Buff sharing

But here's some reasons why Ivern isn't as OP as people are saying:

• Easily counterjungled
• No damage (if built as intended)
• His W and R are finicky and can actually harm him if used incorrectly
• Daisy is the glitchiest thing I've ever seen in league holy crap
• If his team has no damage or tanks, he's toast
• Requires a lot of planning and forethought to be truly effective
• Squishy, especially early on
• A lot of the team your team has no idea what you do, so the extra buffs go to waste, as well as any kill opportunities you open up with Rootcaller.

People are calling Ivern 'insanely OP' and 'crazy powerful', when in reality no one plays him enough for anyone to even really know what he does. Be honest: If you haven't played Ivern, do you know what he does? Even if he's on your team?

Survey says no. Maybe he needs to CD adjustment or something, but Ivern doesn't deserve to be gutted like everyone is saying. He's not Camille.
