Pisses me off when our autofilled ADC mains support, and our autofilled support mains ADC.

Of all the ways to lose a game, this has to be one of the most shitty ways.

You look up the players on your team, but it's too late to say anything because either the adc or the support already made their pick. If you had seen it sooner, or if they had looked themselves up, it might have been easy to get them to swap roles with each other.

Can Riot please look into this? Give the matchmaker one single brain cell? You would be surprised how often this happens. This is such a depressing way to lose a game. I mean, I don't mind losing, but I hate it when I have a loss that seems to be entirely due to a poorly coded matchmaker.

By the way, the entire enemey team had no autofills. Our team also had no autofills, except that our ADC was on support, and our support was our ADC. Our bot lane played poorly and lost their lane, and that was the entire reason we lost the game. And to think that we had a good ADC, and we had a good support! But they weren't on their damn roles! We had all we needed to win that game! If only the match maker had a brain.

Auto Fill is extraordinarily ridiculously flawed. This isn't an isolated incident. There are cases in which 4 people on the same team will end up filled. I've personally experienced being filled when an ally of mine specifically opted to fill and the game filled them in the role I wanted.

I can do you better then that I duo with a friend of mine, I top/mid and he jungle/mids We have had games where I am autofilled to jungle and he is autofilled to sup or somthing.......you know...rather then just autofill me and he gets his role Hell, we have even had a game or two where I have been autofilled jungle and he was autofilled top..... The autofill system is r%%%%%ed, I honestly believe it autofills you sometimes not because there isn't the space on the team but becuase the algorithm just says it's your time to be autofilled

the real question is

how the hell did your support manage to get autofilled?

Critmaster Garen6/30/2019, 3:31:23 PM11 votes

why wouldnt they just swap roles?

honestly, the easiest and laziest solution for riot would be to put a tiny symbol onto the bottom right corner of your champ select box that indicates the main (and maybe even secondary) role you qued up with.

could save a lot of pain. especially in those cases. they could immediately identify that they just need to swap roles.

And someone still believes that their matchmaking works fine, when they even can't code a simple stuff like "don't swap 2 guys roles" :D

I'm a support main a lot of times, literally i have never been autofilled when queuing with either pick being support. I don't understand how a support main could get autofilled when you are literally autofill protected every game you put in as support. More than likely the support main quit support and queued as something else, which is something many support mains, including myself do after struggling to carry bad adcs or teams in general. Your adc main did get autofilled, but i can't see how your supp main could have been autofilled. I'm sorry that worked out that way, maybe I'm wrong, but a supp getting autofilled is pretty weird if that happened tbh

If an ADC player can't play support, or a Support player can't play ADC, then they aren't a very good bot lane player :3

Of all people to autofill the role, they should know best what their partner needs/expects.

Autofill is a shitty, awful system. It is terrible and flawed on practically all levels.

I don't know why there is absolutely no accountability on any of Riot's teams. No matter how absolutely gigantic of a blunder any of them make, no matter how many times they fail catastrophically and do things that outrage their playerbase or simply make the game worse on all fronts (see: CertainlyT designing overloaded champions ever. single. time. Or who remembers POSITIONAL RANKS) none of them are ever held accountable. They are just allowed to continue making mistakes over and over and over again at all of our expenses.

Often times there are games where ill queue mid/top and my friend top/jg then i’ll get auto filled jg and him mid. It makes no sense why this would happen but it does, and far more often than it should.

IainG106/30/2019, 7:45:18 PM3 votes

This is shear laziness in coding, plain and simple. Whilst it would be the work a few hours to include an additional few lines in Lobby to check what the people in it had ACTUALLY selected, anyone with even 2 brain cells to rub together should see that it's worth doing.

Luxanna Ahegao6/30/2019, 3:38:29 PM2 votes

maybe they didn't call their usual roles lol or autofill is dumb

Sugarlicious6/30/2019, 10:05:19 PM2 votes

I'm a support main and I don't think I've ever got auto-filled. Like honestly, ever. So, I might be wrong, but it's also possible that the support main purposely qued as adc cause he got bored of his role?

Also, I see many people saying that they shouldn't suck in their lane. Well... as a support main, I do have M6 on Vayne, Xayah and a few more adcs, I'm not terrible, but I'm pretty bad at farming, and I would still not dare go against an actual adc main in ranked games. Similarly, there are many tricks that an average adc main could not do as support, like land good Qs (you have to think one step ahead), shield at the right moment, and for the love of god, warding, it's a foreign word for adcs. So, yes, it's entirely possible that they suck in each other's roles.

I've had a lot of games where my friend gets filled to my primary role and I get autofilled even though he queues as fill secondary. It's pretty stupid.
