Nautilus buffs? Lol.

News flash Riot, Nautilus needs help in the first few early game levels, not a couple hundred more potential shielding at level 18. Nautilus' level 1-4 jungling is trash. Even if your team sticks around and gives you a huge leash on the frog, by the time you get done with wolves you have to back to heal because his godawful attack speed can't clear camps.

Solution: some way of keeping the shield aoe damage buff up longer. Either give the level 1 shield more HP (Nautilus isn't going to be ganking pre-lv4 anyhow.) or allow the damage buff to continue even after the shield pops. If you have to nerf the damage a tiny bit, fine. But he needs something to help that first jungle clear.

Naut is trash right now. This ridiculous not-a-buff buff doesn't help him win any more games. Very few games make it to late game where this would matter and even when it would you are already on you're way to a win or loss and this won't turn it around or make much of a difference.

OP, I play Naut in the jungle and even without a leash, I clear Gromp, blue, wolves, red and the golems before having to recall. I'm guessing you're doing something wrong.

I think they are concerned with the amount of cc he has being balanced with his clear time. Meaning if you have tons of cc you should not be clearing that fast in the first place. I personally have not played him recently in the jungle so I am not sure the extent in which he is struggling but I am fairly confident they are hesitant to buff his early game because of the reason I stated earlier.

Hm, reminds me, haven't tried naut out with the new buff. Should be pretty good, he always seems to handle thw jungle pretty easily with the right path.

Still not sure how people are playing Naut so poorly in the jungle. Outside of my first ever game in the new jungle where I started blue and died to gromp, I've never had trouble clearing Gromp > Blue SMITELESS > Red/Krug > Krug/Red, and maybe enough health for a gank. More often then not I gank mid right after blue too.

I'm all for giving Naut damage while his shield is down, but this change in particular is still pretty big. His early game clears will be the same, which is average for tanky junglers given he won't be taking much damage from them, especially with smite charges. But once he hits that 2K, maybe 2.5K health mark that shield is gonna be massive compared to what it used to be.

... Plus the shield will be huge for AP Naut! Huzzah for free scaling!

I saw Nightblue3 playing Naut on stream recently and he went with a lot of attack speed to make his early clear better and he had WAY better clear than you would expect out of a tanky utility jungler. You should probably look into different builds and actually experiment with stuff.

This is why I hate streamers at times :(((giving away sekrets)). I always ran 11 to 15% attack speed in runes for Naut+ using W as an atttack reset I always cleared with Naut stupidly fast. In the new jungle, you can clear the entire jungle and still be able to gank without backing. You smite the frog, and then smite the red buff when you are within smite range of it to get the maximum benefit of the smite. which puts you around . . . . 1/2 health, or better. Also, people often forget Nautilus is one of the most mobile champions in the jungle. So, he usually gets to camps a lot faster than a good chunk of other junglers.

You do realize the shield now does total max health, not bonus, yes? ie. he gets a safer 1-6 than ever pretty much.
