Pick a strong early game mid laner or you are screwing your own jung and gifting exp to enemy jung

If your mid laner either cannot push the lane or does not have kill pressure early, then you are telling both junglers "I will never help our jungler with scuttle. It's okay if your jungler has a 2-level lead on our jungler. It's okay if your jungler can gank but ours cannot do so effectively."

For example, just had a game as me (shaco) and annie mid versus enemy mid laner A-Sol and enemy jungler lee sin. Fought lee sin for first scuttler. Dodged q. dropped ignite. proced box fear. But A-Sol showed up, I had to back off, and lee got the scuttle. This same thing happend for four more scuttles. Annie explained that she did not have priority b/c A-Sol pushed the lane in. Okay, fine, but that was a consequence of her picking Annie into A-Sol. Unsurprisingly, I was underleveled and Lee was not. I was in a weak position to help my laners, but Lee could help his.

This was a consequence of our mid taking a champ that could not get priority on mid.

Lesson? Pick a mid that can (1) shove the lane; (2) apply kill pressure early.

If not, you have borked your own jungler.
